Course Description
During this course you will explore some of the fundamental Principles of Spiritual Law and how they can be applied to your life for greater love, health, and prosperity. By studying specific quotes of prominent Unity writers, as well as the metaphysical and theological views pressed in Heart-centered Metaphysics, you will be encouraged to awaken your awareness and understanding of spiritual Truth. Through the consistent use of these practical principles, you will realize more of your spiritual potential and find that your life is transformed! Topics explored in this class are: Beingness, Oneness, Divine Mind The Spiritual Universe, The Physical Universe The Divine Paradoxes The Trinity Evil, Sin, the Devil Jesus, the Christ, Jesus Christ, Christ Jesus The Threefold Nature of Humankind (Spirit, soul, body) The Three Phases of Mind (Superconscious, conscious and subconscious) Personality, Individuality.

Class sessions will include small group work, presentations by the instructor, class discussions and weekly assignments.

Objectives
Students will be able to: Define, and explain some of Unity's commonly held metaphysical principles and ideas as outlined above in Section A. Understand how to apply these metaphysical principles and ideas in their own lives. Experiencing the application of at least one Principle or idea as presented in class or from the book.

Write an 500 - 800 word paper based on your selecting one idea from the Class or book and putting it into practice for 21 days. In the paper describe the idea, what happened, what you learned and how this will change your life. Send your paper electronically or by regular mail. Please make the paper double-spaced between the lines and at least 12 pt. type. The paper is due March 1, 2012. Student Evaluation
Grading: S (Satisfactory) - A grade of S indicates that all class work is complete. IN (Incomplete) - A grade of I indicates a students class work is Incomplete. A (Audit) For individuals on the Spiritual Enrichment track and for those that take a course over for review. W (Withdrawal) - For individuals that have withdrawn from a class.
10 course credits are granted on successfully completing the course.

1st hour Opening Meditation Revised 12/6/2011 Page 4 Introduction and course overview. This is a course on Unity Metaphysics. While each individuals right to their own beliefs is supported and accepted, these beliefs are not the purpose of this course. Other points of view may be shared to help create an understanding Unitys metaphysics. However, students should not be disappointed if their beliefs are not explored in this class. Further, students should not be surprised if Unity Metaphysics differ from their own beliefs. The language of Oneness finding new ways to communicate Unitys theology and why. (See attached handout). Students and instructor engage in a game during the entire 10 hours of course. During the class observe your own use of language and notice when other people use traditional language. Ask how people heard what was said. Tweak the use of language as the class proceeds. For example: when a student uses the term God, ask the class if they heard an outside, anthropomorphic Being when the term was used. 2nd hour Divide students into groups to read one of the four chapters for discussion and presentation. Students read the chapters to: 1. Discover the teaching. 2. Discover what they disagree with and why. 3. Discover if they have any questions about the material. 4. Create a 5 10 minute presentation of the key points of the chapter.
