INTRODUCTION TO
ZAYESHA
Zayesha - Handcrafted Ensemble is a beautiful amalgamation of Kalamkari
and Zardozi. Zayesha aims to promote "Aabi Kari Tila", fine handwork on
Pashmina.
In the world of textiles, pashmina is by far the most expensive. Cashmere thread
is woven into opulent shawls, scarves, and pashmina sarees. Pashm is the fleece
of the Changthangi goat found in Ladakh's upper echelons. Originally a
Persian/Farsi word, Pashm is an Urdu word. Ladakh - India is home to the
Changthangi goat at 15000 feet.
In addition to connoisseurs around the world, Pashmina has captivated royalty and
commoners. Weaver offers fine Pashmina shawls, stoles and mufflers in Sozni,
Kalamkari and Kaani designs. This exclusive collection includes Jamawar and
Bharan. Pashmina shawls are the perfect winter essential because of their luxury
heritage and their Kasab and Resham embroidery. It is with great pride that we
can say our garments are made with pure pashmina and are pure handmade.
Each of our pure Aabi Kari work shawls can take up to a year to complete. Age-
old craftsmanship using hand embroidery makes our products unique and
special. We also offer a variety of pure fabric jackets, kimonos, lehengas, and suits
as part of our exclusive ranges.
Our experience over the past two decades allows us to offer fashion-forward
contemporary women sarees, jackets, lehengas, kurta sets, shawls, and duppatas
accentuated by Kashmiri artisans' Mughal art. We also offer designer
menswear fashions with bandgalas, Nehru jackets, kurtas and sherwanis.
We are known for our range of fine weaves from Kashmir, Banaras, Gujarat, and
Bengal.
Zayesha's mission is to revive weaving techniques such as silk thread
embroidery, zardozi embroidery, aab kari tila embroidery, and mukesh
embroidery. Pure fabrics and hand kalamkari are our specialties.
Zayesha now aims to carve out its niche as a luxury Indian ensemble
company beyond fashion.
