OnJanuary25,theconsultantteamwillreturntopresentanother discussiondraft,coveringgeneraldevelopmentstandards,totheZAP panel.Thisdraftwillincludeparking,landscapingandlighting requirements.
MasterPlanAnalysis
MasterPlansarecriticaltotheplanningprocessinMontgomery CountyandtheRewriteTeamisanalyzingeachoftheCounty'sMaster PlanstoensurethatthenewZoningCodeiscompatiblewithPlan goalsandrecommendations.MasterPlanguidelinesregardinguses, heightsanddensityare beingcarefullyfactored intozoneconversion recommendations.The newZoningCodewill strengthenourcommunity planningeortsby providingtheCountywith animprovedzoning "toolkit"whichwillallow plannerstonetune heightsanddensitiesin newMasterPlans.

ItalsointroducedafamilyofEmploymentZones,whicharedesigned toallowlimitedresidentialusesinareasoftheCountythatare primarilyautoorientedretailandoceparktypeuses.Industrially zonedlandintheCountywillremainsubstantivelythesameasitexists today.
