Spiral case
Description
It constitutes the turbine supporting structure and the water supply system.
The spiral case is made up of:
• A stay ring and parallel plates with stay vanes, which are welded
• A series of sectors of high quality welded steel plate which constitute the
Casing, molded and welded one to the other and to the stay ring
• A flange for connecting to the spherical valve trough the dismantling
Downstream pipe.
The supporting feet are an integral part of the structure and they are fixed to the
foundations through foundation bolts and jacks.
The spiral case is equipped with:
- Turbine metallic pit up to the generator
- Connections for pressure and Winter-Kennedy flow measurement
- Lifting lugs during first erection
- DN 600 Inspection manhole
- DN200 drain line
On this equipment there is grass but hole structure is good let look it as follows
