Acknowledging that climate change is a common concern of humankind, Parties should, when taking
action to address climate change, respect, promote and consider their respective obligations on
human rights, the right to health, the rights of indigenous peoples, local communities, migrants,
children, persons with disabilities and people in vulnerable situations and the right to development,
Recalling General Assembly resolution, A/RES/70/1, titled: “Transforming our world:2030 agenda for
sustainable development.”
Recognizing the importance of the conservation and enhancement, as appropriate, of sinks and
reservoirs of the greenhouse gases referred to in the Convention,
Emphasizing the intrinsic relationship that climate change actions, responses, and impacts have with
equitable access to sustainable development,
Recognizing The charter of the United Nations,
Acknowledging the crisis at hand,
Noting With concern the increasing need to implement SDGs (7,12,13),
Bearing in mind the ever-increasing threat of climate change and the need to fully access and
systemize in our lives the term sustainable development,
Expressing its appreciation of the efforts of the individual private NGOs and governments around the
world to prevent this impending threat,
Having adopted The Paris Agreement as its guiding principle with the precedent of The United
Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) signed by 154 states at the United
Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) held in Rio de Janeiro from 3 rd to
14th June 1992,
Confirms that this resolution will provide a goal to the international committee that looks forward to;
it proposes a series of tasks or propositions that if adhered to, can create a sustainable future.
Emphasizing the need for international cooperation on the following issues,
*Sustainable Development Goal 7 (A)
= Ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy
A. Ensuring that the term sustainable development is achieved in the energy sector by extensively
using renewables as a future investable and reliant means of securing energy,
- Resolutions- 1
I.
1. Establishes the system of countries increasing the global energy from
renewables in the energy sector,
pg. 1
Draft resolution 1.0
a. Reminds that Currently around the world 322,000,000 (rough
estimate) terajoules are being used globally around the world this year
and counting, and the global input of renewables this year is 1058.76
terajoules;
b. Confirms that that is a percentage of 0.000328882% (rough
estimate);
c. According to research it is possible to switch to a fully sustainable
global energy landscape within the next 30 years;
d. Confirming that projected global energy consumption increases to
about 3.15 x 1016 (British thermal units);
e. Stresses that for the world to be sustainably developed in the energy
sector 30% of the energy sector must be obtained from renewables;( i.e.,
at least 9.45 x 1014 must be obtained from renewables),
f. Urges that countries present in this international committee be
incredibly sincere to this goal as this ensures a sustainable energy sector
and grid,
g. Urges that the developed countries provide aid to the developing
countries in this sector for this goal,
2 Stresses the Importance of maintaining a fast and secure energy grid in each nation to make sure
each individual has access to clean energy
a. Points out that countries are to create a sustainable and reliant energy
grid which needs to have a backup approved by professionals,
b. Confirms that countries are to create committees under their
respective governments to maintain this grid and to make sure this grid
architecture does not hinder the growth of the urbanization in the nearby
areas, with these committees resorting to annual meetings (minimum) for a
thorough check on the created grid and planning (if room too) improve on
conditions of the grid when the situation presents itself
3 Provides the citizens of their respective countries this clean energy at a just and reasonable price,
a. Stresses on the point of controlling the market and maintaining a
downward pressure at the rising costs (if experienced),
*Sustainable Development 12 (B)
=Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
B. Ensuring sustainable consumption and production to promote resource and energy efficiency with
the interconnectedness of private and public sectors, and encourage large and transactional companies
to adopt sustainability practices and integrate information into their reporting cycle,
- Resolutions
II
1 Bringing in the goals that countries must meet by 2030 to maintain a sustainable and modern
system of tourism, employment and culture
a. Bringing to light that the root cause of unsustainable consumption
and production patterns are the 3 planetary crises i.e., Climate Change,
Biodiversity Loss, Pollution,
b. Urging countries to Rationalize inefficient fossil-fuel subsidies that
encourage wasteful consumption by removing market distortions, by
national circumstances, including by restructuring taxation and phasing
out those harmful subsidies, where they exist, to reflect their
environmental impacts, taking fully into account the specific needs and
conditions of developing countries and minimizing the possible adverse
impacts on their development in a manner that protects the poor and the
affected communities,
pg. 2
Draft resolution 1.0
c. Stressing to Implement the 10-year framework of programmes on
sustainable consumption and production, all countries taking action, with
developed countries taking the lead, taking into account the development
and capabilities of developing countries,
d. Stating that the international committee must take a serious stance on
the following
1. achieving the sustainable management and efficient
use of natural resources through scientific and
technological breakthroughs and using smart and efficient
ways like;
1. Implementing scientific agricultural
techniques that prevent uncharacteristic soil
erosion and excess leaching that in the end
lead to soil degradation,
2. Using newly explored scientific
technologies to extract the carbon emissions
from the atmosphere and put the excess
carbon to other uses,
3. Undergoing experiments and
exploring new renewable options like
biofuel, geothermal and fusion energy (that
is still a theory),
2. Understanding the importance of taking the steps
to halve per capita global food waste at the retail and
consumer levels and reduce food losses along production
and supply chains, including post-harvest losses
3. Stating to substantially reduce waste generation
through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse
4. Providing that we must substantially reduce waste
generation through prevention, reduction, recycling and
reuse
2 Implicating the importance of implementation and development of tools that monitor sustainable
tourism and employment and promote local and country culture and products,
3. Urging the developed countries in assisting the developing countries in finding their stance in
scientific and technological capacity to move towards more sustainable production patterns and
consumption,
*Sustainable Development Goal 13 (C)
=Taking Urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts
C. The official mission statement of this goal is to “Take urgent action to combat climate change and
its impacts”
-Resolutions
III
1. Introducing the goals that countries must meet by 2030 to create a sustainable
environment that facilitates and maintains our needs of us, thus making a balance
that must be maintained,
a. Implementing the commitment undertaken by developed-country
parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate
Change to a goal of mobilizing jointly $100 billion annually by 2025
from all sources to address the needs of developing countries in the
context of meaningful mitigation actions and transparency on
implementation and fully operationalize the Green Climate Fund
through its capitalization,
pg. 3
Draft resolution 1.0
b. Stating that this fund will again be implemented but this time a new
goal will be set by this convention according to which the carbon
emissions in the industrialised sector will be further reduced due to-
1. According to computer simulation, global
temperatures could rise by 2050 from 1.4 – 3.2C
2. According to the latest Annual Average Anomaly
global temperatures have already risen by 0.85C,
3. According to the Paris Agreement the current cut of
global emissions is 7.6 % annually,
4. Current global emissions are at 31.5 GT
5. We can change the percentage of cutting global
carbon emissions to 10% annually for the benefit of the
world committee,
c. Assuring as soon as possible this fund will again be implemented by
the Annex I and Non-Annex I parties with regards to the budget for the
biennium 2024 – 2025 are expected to begin towards the end of 2022 or/
the start of 2023,
1. A system of grants and loans has been set up through
the convention and is managed by the Global
Environmental Facility,
2. Industrialised nations also agree to share scientific
and technologies with less developed nations,
3. Annex I countries have to submit an annual report of
their carbon emissions to the new
d. Urges to promote mechanisms for raising capacity for effective
climate change-related planning and management in the least developed
countries and small island developing States, including focusing on
women, youth and local and marginalized communities, this goal has to
enhance the protection of the people of the respective state and to bring
about a means to use as a shield from rapidly approaching climate
change impacts,
e. Brings to light the cause to Improve education, awareness-raising and
human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation,
adaptation, impact reduction and early warning, the governments of
their countries (if not already doing so) must collaborate with NGOs and
private party groups working in this cause to make this target
accessible,
f. Pleads with the countries present in this committee to enhance and
strengthen resilience and capacity to deal with climate hazards,
Countries in need of funds will be provided with the money put together by the UN as loans for
investment in renewables; if the process is profitable after a given period to allow profits the assigned
country can pay the money allotted back in easy instalments; the funding money will be restricted to
an amount after determined the amount of money collected by the UN
REGARDING THE CRISIS
According to the Crisis Director, due to the unjustified and illegal actions of China, the USA, and
Russia selling Nepal waste in exchange for cash; the extreme amount of extra mass, the Republic of
Nepal was inflected by a 9.6 Richter scale earthquake that shook the foundations of the country,
Stating the repercussions of the following caused Nepal to get destroyed and the body count has been
estimated to 3968 people (not counting Bio life) and Nepal’s economy has been destabilised and
upheld,
The pile of waste is now emitting a substantial amount of methane emissions and the Himalayas
region is now heating up; the melted ice is predicted to flood main parts of India in the next 5 years
and global warming will speed up
pg. 4
Draft resolution 1.0
According to the leaders of the concerned countries, they justified their positions in this crisis
