INDIVIDUAL REFLECTION
What did you learn from today's lesson?
Today our class started at 7 AM. At first, I feel a bit sleepy but the atmosphere became
more lively and cheerful when the teacher asked us to discuss the questions. This made
me more focused.
Today’s lesson focused on answering questions and dealing with some situations related
to the behaviors and thinking of women and men. Everyone in the class discussed in
groups and found suitable answers for them. Then the groups were invited to express
their opinions and from there show everyone’s thoughts on this topic. There were 3 main
questions to discuss and there were ‘’Is it true that women are better listener than
men?’ ,’Is it true that men tend to interrupt than women?’’ and “ Is it true that women are
more sympathetic than men?”.
After the discussion time, each group took turns to express their opinions. And I see that
gender is not the main factor that creates the difference in thinking and behavior between
men and women. It also depends on the circumstances, situations and other factors and
they also depend largely on the thinking, behavior and perspectives of each person
regardless of male or female. Thinking and behavior are formed, developed based on
many different factors such as the living environment, people around ...... this will create
for each person to have separate thoughts and that is what creates the special point for
each individual whether they are old or young, male or female. For example, if we are
born and raised in a peaceful, healthy, happy environment and are exposed to education,
we will have different thinking and behaviors from those who were born and raised in
war and have no exposure to education, they will also have different thoughts and
behaviors.
Therefore, each of us is always unique and irreplaceable. Each person will have their own
strengths and weaknesses. Women may often be better listeners and understand, but there
are also women who are not good at listening and understanding. And the same goes for
men, there are men who are not good at listening and understanding, but there are also
men who are very good at listening and understanding. As I mentioned earlier, it depends
on way of thinking, and they are formed and developed based on the surrounding
environment. Regardless of any country or gender, there are good people and bad people
and people like this and people like that. So I think our behavior and thinking are formed
based on many things around us, not just based on gender.
And that's all I learned after this lesson. Learning and knowing a lot of interesting
information is something I really like.
