Summary
However it's too late now; Eijiro has seen the photos already, not all of them but enough to
have an idea why Bakugo is so desperate to have his phone back.
"Here," he hands it to him and watches as his friend presses it close to his chest, like he's
trying to shield it from everyone.
He's blushing.
"What did you see?"
Everything.
Notes
See the end of the work for notes
Eijiro narrows his eyes down at his phone, for some reason it refuses to take a photo of the cute cat
they see in the shopping mall. Midoriya and Uraraka are playing with the cat, laughing as it purrs
at them whenever they scratch its soft belly.
When he notices that Ashido, Todoroki and even Bakugo are taking pictures of it (although the
blond is trying his best to be subtle about it, probably doesn't want anyone to find out he has a soft
spot for kittens) Eijiro decides to ask any of them later to send him some.
He doesn't think about it again until he takes a selfie with Ashido in the common room and realizes
that for some reason his phone is working again. Everyone is exhausted after training session;
Midoriya just collapsed and fell asleep on the couch and he's taking so much space some of them
have to sit on the floor.
Honestly, Eijiro doesn't mind and knows the others don't mind as well, but it's very confusing to
see Bakugo sitting quietly next to him; he hasn't tried to kick Midoriya out of the couch nor
complained about being one of the unlucky people who has to sit on the floor instead.
Perhaps he's too exhausted to be angry, or he's just trying to be nice to Midoriya after the apology.
Whatever the reason, Eijiro is glad to see his friend being kind to someone for once.
"Hey, Bakubro, hand me your phone! I want to send myself the cat photos from yesterday," he has
used Bakugo's phone a couple of times (although never to send himself a picture) so he doesn't
think too much before taking it; he even grins when he realizes it's already unlocked with the photo
library open.
"HA? What cat photos?"
His friend must be really tired indeed because he doesn't realize what Eijiro is doing until it's too
late.
"OI, SHITTY HAIR! GIVE IT BACK!" However, he doesn't actually take the phone because a
couple of their classmates look at him.
"Shh! You'll wake up Deku-kun!" Uraraka scolds him, prompting Todoroki to glare at him as well.
"Tch!" Bakugo tries to make it look like he doesn't care, but Eijiro can see he's panicking already.
However it's too late now; Eijiro has seen the photos already, not all of them but enough to have an
idea why Bakugo is so desperate to have his phone back.
"Here," he hands it to him and watches as his friend presses it close to his chest, like he's trying to
shield it from everyone.
He's blushing.
"What did you see?"
Everything.
He saw a photo of Midoriya asleep on the couch (he honestly has no idea how Bakugo managed to
take that one without anyone noticing) a couple of him during training session and others of him at
the mall, looking and playing with the cat from yesterday but it's obvious that Bakugo didn't give a
damn about the cat.
They're excellent photos. They capture his wide smiles and bright green eyes; in every single one
he looks excited and beautiful and Eijiro quickly realizes that's exactly how Bakugo sees him all
the time.
"I think it's really manly, Bakubro," he grins encouragingly instead of answering his question.
"Shut up!" Bakugo whispers furiously, trying not to draw everyone's attention again. His face is
completely red now.
"You should tell him."
"No!"
Eijiro sighs; he knows already that becoming Bakugo's wingman is going to be a real pain in the
ass, but he's his friend and he has to help him otherwise he'll probably die alone.
"How many?" He suddenly asks, curious. Bakugo doesn't answer but the blush quickly spreads
down his neck right after the question. He looks embarrassed.
"That many, huh?" Eijiro mumbles, trying so hard not to chuckle, but it's honestly nice that his
friend can actually be that soft under his explosive personality.
Bakugo doesn't say anything to that. Instead he glances in Midoriya's direction; the boy looks so
soft that Eijiro is sure his friend's fingers are itching to take another photo.
"Do you have a favorite?"
For a moment, he thinks Bakugo is going to growl at him or flip him off, but the blond takes his
phone and starts scrolling down his library.
Looking like he already regrets it, he hands the phone to Eijiro.
Midoriya is looking right at the camera lens this time; his eyes are open in surprise and soft
confusion, but he's not frowning, just looking adorably curious. He's outside, the sun was probably
getting down at the moment because the tips of his hair are shining with a gentle yellow/orange
glow.
It looks so good, for a moment Eijiro feels as if those green eyes are staring back at him and
blushes before giving the phone back to his friend.
"How did you manage to take that one?"
A soft, fond smile quirks Bakugo's lips up for a second as he glances down at the screen before
locking his phone again.
"I made him believe I was taking a picture of something behind him," he whispers. A guilty, sad
expression appears on his face before he adds: "After I took it I told him to get out of the way
because he was blocking the view."
Eijiro sighs... again.
"That's not manly, Bakubro."
"I know... I just... I don't want him to find out."
"Why not?"
"Because he'll turn me down," Bakugo says, looking down at the floor so Eijiro doesn't see the
pain in his eyes.
"You don't know that!"
Before he can say anything, Midoriya moves on the couch, blinks his eyes open and manages to sit.
He's rubbing his left eye as he yawns again. His hair is a mess over his head; he honestly looks
adorable.
Next to him, Eijiro notices Bakugo's hands on his phone, but he stops himself before doing
anything, probably realizing there are too many people around.
"Hey, Midoriya!" Eijiro grins, taking a picture of the boy.
"Let me see it!" Ashido pleads at the same time Uraraka leans closer to him.
"Kirishima!" The green haired boy pouts. "Why?"
"I promise I'll delete it," Eijiro assures him to everyone's disappointment and he does that, right
after sending it to Bakugo.
"Thank you," Midoriya mumbles with relief and Eijiro does feel a little bit guilty because of it, but
Bakugo's pleased grin as he looks at his phone is worth it.
He still doesn't have a plan to get those two together (Bakugo certainly doesn't make it any easier)
but he's sure he'll come up with something.

Bonus Tddk:
Still determined to get those cat photos, Eijiro decides to ask Todoroki the next day.
"Do you remember the cat from the mall?"
"The one Midoriya was playing with?"
"Yes, I saw you taking pictures of it! Can you send me at least one?"
Without changing his expression one bit, Todoroki shakes his head.
"I'm sorry, Kirishima. I only took photos of Midoriya because I thought he looked cute that day."
Oh, no.
"Really? You too?"
"What do you mean by you too?"
"Nothing! I'll ask Ashido! Goodbye!"
