follows the prompt script of the IPL mystery reader in the booth at Earshot Audio-Post studio.

Help choose the ‘new voice’ of IPL

CS is re-recording its voice prompts with an IPL person speaking
IPL is looking for a new “voice,” and IPL people can help choose it. Customer Service is in the process of redoing
its automated phone system and is seeking to use the voice of an IPL person.

Six IPL people were invited to attend an audition at the Earshot Audio-Post recording studio in Broad Ripple last
Thursday. Each spent about 10 minutes in a recording booth, reading two “typical” IPL voice prompts, one
referring to use of IPL’s website and the other to an outage issue.

The recordings were edited by a studio engineer and are now posted on IPLpower.com. IPL people are invited to
click here or go to www.iplpower.com/Our_Company/About_IPL/Voice_of_IPL to hear all six unidentified voices
and fill out a ballot for their favorite.

IPL customers will then vote on the top three vote-getters to determine their preference for the new voice of
IPL. The person selected overall eventually will re-record all of IPL’s current IVR (automated system) voice
prompts, and record more when necessary.

IPL people who vote for a voice will be entered in a random drawing on Jan. 18 to win an IPL Tailgate Kit ,
valued at approximately $100. The kit includes a 17-inch sports couch, table and cooler. The deadline is 5 p.m.,
Thursday, Jan. 17. For complete contest rules, visit the website link.

Get smarter about info security with new IT lessons

IPL IT Security is implementing a new security awareness program. The program teaches the fundamentals of
information security, including key principles, concepts, vulnerabilities and threats and how to counter
them. Hackers, identity thieves and malicious programs roam the Internet searching for easy targets.

By mastering the information presented in this program, IPL people will be better prepared to protect their
personal and workplace data from malicious threats and become proficient in information security awareness
and literacy. The entire training program has 12 online modules, and the modules will be rolled out periodically.
Each training module will take about 10 minutes to complete and includes a short interactive quiz at the end.
The first module, “Phishing,” was introduced to MS people on Tuesday. More invitations to participate in the
training will follow companywide.
