Reach the Interview place at least 30 minutes in advance.
Dress professionally. It is always better to be formally dressed in an interview.
Carry water with you and have a glass of water before appearing in an interview.
Make sure you don’t have a bad breath and don’t ever smoke before an interview.
Clean your nose before entering the interview chamber.
Knock the door gently and ask, “May I come in, Please,” and after hearing “Yes”
enter.
Check before entering that your mobile phone is on silent mode at least or better
switched off.
Wish everyone according to the time. Sit after you are asked to sit and say Thank
You.
Do not keep your hands or any of your belongings on the table.
Put your bag / brief case on the floor near your right foot.
Maintain a balance in your pose and posture. Take special care against excessive hand
movements.
Sit upright neither leaning forward not backwards.
Appear comfortable, confident and poised.
Reply in a clear voice taking care of volume, accent, and pronunciation.
Strike a healthy conversation with the panel and thoroughly show your genuine
interest in the company, project and the job profile.
Don’t get into nervousness or down heartedness in the interview room.
Let the questions be completed before you start answering. Don’t show your haste.

Don’t show your fear, nervousness, or self doubt through any negative body language
for example touching nose or tie, playing with hair or your ring, looking around etc
Don’t ever argue or enter into controversies. Try to learn from this opportunity also.
Don’t tell lie or give false statements, otherwise it will be difficult to manage the
situations.
Be calm; don’t get excited on any discussion or point.
If they are asking you embarrassing or confusing questions, let them check your
temperament and don’t allow your confidence to get shattered.
When finished, say “Thank you”.
Don’t take the initiative to shake hands yourself. If they do, then you must respond
with professional and firm hand shake.
