AGENDA: G20 SUMMIT
With the prior permission of the executive board, we the
delegation of Russian Federation would like to state our
opinion on todays agenda the g20 summit. Today as we face
unpredicted challenges and oppurtunities, Russia reaffirms
its dedication to constructive engagement, dialogue and
finding common ground. We believe that by working
together, we can address pressing global issues and lay the
foundation for sustainable and inclusive growth.
As an important emerging market economy, Russia's
participation in the G20 allows it to engage in
discussions and policy coordination on global
economic matters. Its perspectives on financial
stability, trade, investment, and fiscal policies have
been taken into account during G20 deliberations.
Russia is a major energy exporter, and its influence on
global energy markets has been acknowledged in G20
discussions. Energy cooperation and security have
been prominent topics in G20 meetings, and Russia's
input has been valuable in addressing energy-related
challenges.
Russia's geopolitical position and international relations
play a role in shaping the dynamics of the G20 Summit. Its
stances on various geopolitical issues have been taken into
consideration, and it has used the G20 platform to engage
with other nations on matters of mutual interest. Russia has
participated in discussions related to economic recovery
following the global financial crisis and, more recently, the
COVID-19 pandemic. Its approach to promoting economic
growth and cooperation among G20 members has had an
impact on the collective response to these challenges.
Decisive actions have been undertaken by G20 to
restore and strengthen global growth and to put
it on the sustainable path. Nevertheless, global
economic recovery is still fragile and large downside risks to
the outlook remain, thus spurring the
need for in-depth analysis of economic policies
and well-coordinated actions of the G20’s member
economies.
One of the priorities of the Russian Presidency is
to address this problem through further development of the
Framework for Strong, Sustainable
and Balanced Growth. The Framework Working
Group (FWG) will address the following topics: ■
Enhancement of the Accountability Assessment Process by
extending the number of
indicators to enable more comprehensive and
precise macroeconomic analysis;
■ Analysis of the persistent imbalances among
the G20 members in fiscal, monetary, exchange rate and
structural policy domains. ■ Strengthened public policy and
improving
PPP in terms of promoting financing for investment;
■ Elaborated measures to support investments
in small-and-medium enterprises and startup businesses;
■ Measures to meet capitalization needs of
global banks;
■ Recommendations on regulatory changes
that would bring about change in banking
business models towards funding the real
economy;
■ Analysis of the role of possible sources of financing for
investment (institutional investors, equity markets,
government guarantees); and much more.
Russias contribuition to the g20 summit does not only limit
to that. During the presidency of Russia in the year of 2013,
It proposed many focuses such as -;
(1) Framework for strong, sustainable and balanced growth;
(2) Jobs and employment;
(3) International financial architecture reform;
(4) Strengthening financial regulation;
(5) Energy sustainability;
(6) Development for all;
(7) Enhancing multilateral trade;
(8) Fighting corruption.
let us carry forward the spirit of collaboration and solidarity
that has defined our interactions here. The challenges before
us are great, but the strength of our resolve is even greater.
In the face of uncertainty, let us remember that our
collective will and unity are the cornerstones of progress. Let
us continue to engage in open and constructive dialogue,
respect each other's perspectives, and work together to forge
meaningful solutions to the challenges that lie ahead. Thank
