Item Overview
Problem of It is identified that in the case both N-CREATE and N-SET are sent to the
overwritten block of Basic Film Box during DICOM Print communication, Min Density and
DICOM Max Density specified by the modality cannot be reflected normally in some
parameters cases. This failure has been corrected with this version of the software.
There are very few modalities that send both N-CREATE-RQ and N-SET-RQ
in the Basic Film Box. (In overseas countries, Examion has reported only one
case occurring in the DR connection.) Therefore, it appears that the failure
was not recognized.
[Description of the failure]
For instance, Max Density is specified as 360 in the N-CREATE-RQ of Basic
Film Box and if there is no specified value on Max Density in the N-SET-RQ
of Basic Film Box, the film output should be performed with Max Density of
360 normally. However, the parameter of Max Density was overwritten by the
default setting* of the printer when receiving N-SET-RQ and film was
outputted with the default value.

2. Factory shipment in the future
Serial numbers of the devices to be shipped with the new software will be informed when they are
determined.
3. Upgrading procedure
Upgrade the application software according to the following procedure.
3-1. Turn ON the power of the PC for servicing.

3-2. Load the application software CD-R into the CD-ROM drive.
"DPXLiteCopyTool.exe" starts automatically and [DRYPIX Lite Copy Tool] window is displayed.
* If it does not start automatically, double-click "DPXLiteCopyTool.exe" in the CD-R and start it.
3-3. Enter the drive name into [Input drive of FTP-Home].
3-4. Click [Copy] of [Please specify the drive of FTP-Home].
The main unit software will be copied in the following FTP folder.
When completed, the [Success.] message box appears.

3-5. Click [OK] on [Success.] message box.
3-6. Click [EXIT] to close [DPX Lite Copy Tool] window.
3-7. Unload the application software CD-R form the CD-ROM drive.
3-8. Connect network cable of the PC for servicing to the network to which the equipment is connected.
3-9. Turn ON the power of the equipment.
3-10. Connect the communication of the PC for servicing to the equipment.

3-11. [Upgrading] [Execute]
The application software is transferred (version upgrade) in the equipment. When transferring
completed, the [Command completed.] screen appears.
3-12. End the PC-Utility by clicking the [Logout] button on the maintenance tree.
3-13. Close the logout window.
3-14. Reboot the equipment so that the software is upgraded.
3-15. Check that the equipment whose software version has been upgraded starts and operates normally.

3-16. Shutdown the PC for servicing.
3-17. Disconnect the network cable of the PC for servicing from the network to which the equipment is
connected.
