MIS461 - PROJECT REPORT
Executive Summary
We are a small team who work in Steam IT department. Steam is a huge
game platform which include multiplayer&single player games. We
expect that there are some games which have low download and
unknown. Consider this, we develop a project. This project contain
in-game ad placements for increase downloads and knowability. We
place ads in game textures players can see personal ads with their
playing game. There are discounts, campaigns, and redeem codes but
there are no idea like us. Gaming Market is a huge this is why, we have
a huge opportunities. Steam offer a investment $240.000 for our
project.And we expect that $3.600.000 profit for each year. For next five
year, we guess our profit increase slowly.

communications platform developed by Valve Corporation. It is used to
distribute games and related media online, from small independent

With Steam, people can access the games legally, and at the same time
add them to their own libraries and edit the game archives.Therefore,
Steam is preferred over other gaming platforms. Finally, the use of
steam wallet provides all kinds of payment security services.

Direct Competitors
We have a few competitors such as Origin, Epic Games, Blizzard, and
Ubisoft. Their strengths are they focus specific game types and specific
community of gamers.(Ex: FIFA is a football simulation game and
download just in origin. So, gamer have to use origin.) Their
weaknesses are they haven’t got a infrastructure and game range like
us.
Indirect Competitors
Our indirect competitor is PSN(Playstation Network). PSN is a gaming
platform but it’s only for Playstation.Gamers must have Playstation for
using PSN.PSN strengths makes more promotion and campaign.

We have a friendly user interface and we provide wide game range. This
reason why our project increase downloads and number of users. And
we keep our users in.
Marketing Plan
Product & Service
We provide a service with analysing player data, and give personal ads
for users. Ads include new games which has gamers can not know but
they have a potential for prefered.

We provide this service without charge but we want a permission for
reach their data.
Promotion Plan
In-game ads, we place QR codes. When gamers scan and purchase its,
they gain 10% discount.
Distribution Plan
We serve this service without charge. Also we planned that transport
our adds with steam and game companies infrastructure.

Key Operational Process
Steam has all the departments that a company may have in it’s
structure. These are; Human Resources, Sales, Marketing, Customer
Services, IT.

Board Members aren’t in the structure of AdPlacement but rather
in Steam. So, Steam already has the Board of Members thats why
AdPlacement doesn’t need any.
