Perawatan adalah suatu kegiatan service untuk mencegah timbulnya keausan yang
tidak normal ( kerusakan ) sehingga Umur alat dapat mencapai atau sesuai umur
Yang direkomendasikan oleh pabrik.

TUJUAN PERAWATAN :
1. Agar alat selalu siap pakai/operasi ( high availability = berdaya guna phisik yang tinggi )
2. Agar alat selalu dalam kemampuan prima, berdaya guna mekanis yang paling tinggi
( best performance )
3. Agar biaya perbaikan alat menjadi lebih hemat ( reduce repair cost )

Agar perawatan bisa dilakukan dengan baik perlu dukungan yang baik pula Dari
Beberapa Department di perusahaan tersebut. Salah satunya adalah Pengoperasian
Dan Perawatan yang dilakukan oleh OPERATOR.

Dari banyaknya Kegiatan Service di atas, OPERATOR hanya melakukan yang

Menaikkan RPM Engine secara tiba – tiba :


Mengapa : Oli belum cukup untuk melumasi bagian Turbo, apabila Putaran
Engine secara tiba – tiba dinaikkan dengan mendapat beban maximum,maka
Turbo harus beroperasi dengan kecepatan tinggidengan kondisi pelumasan
ang kurang, Akibatnya BEARING Turbo akan mengalami JAMED /MACET.

Mematikan Engine dengan tiba – tiba :


A. Oli pelumas pada Turbo tidak hanya digunakan untuk melumasi bearing,
tetapi juga untuk pendinginan Turbo
B. Apabila engine dioperasikan dengan beban penuh maka temp. gas buang
pada sisi turbin mencapai 500 derajat C – 700 0derajat C dan akan
dirambatkan panasnya ke Bearing ( 200 derajat C – 300 derajat C ) sehingga
apabila mematikan engine dengan tiba – tiba maka Turbo akan terputar
karena gaya inersia selama 20 – 30 detik tanpa adanya oli pelumasan yang
bersikulasi dan oli pelumas pada bearing akan terbakar.
