10TH ANNIVERSARY SPEECH
WELCOME TO OUR DAY OF GLORY
I like to start this welcome address by recognising the presence of the Most High God, the
King of Glory Himself, in our midst. As the Jehovah Shammah, He is always there for us.
I can say without any equivocation or per adventure, and like the Psalmist testified in
Psalm33:20, that He has been our Help and our Shield. May His Name be praised forever.
I appreciate our father- in- the- Lord, Pastor-in-Charge (P.I.C) of RCCG Province 22, Pastor ?.
For his abiding love and fervent prayers for our parish, quite significantly, for demonstrating
implicit faith/ confidence in the Board of Ministers, as led by my humble self.
May the Good Lord bless you, your ministry and your family, sir. I also pray, sir, that the
Good Lord will grant us the grace to live up to and even beyond your expectation so that the
confidence being reposed in us will not be in vain.
I want to appreciate our Mummy- in- the- Lord, too, Pastor (Mrs.) ?, for her motherly care
and for the consuming interest she has shown thus far.
I want to appreciate all our fathers-in-the Lord here present i.e. the Elders and Senior
Pastors in RCCG Marantha family, whose names and profiles I cannot adumbrate seriatim,
due to time constraints.
As you have honoured us with your presence this morning, may the Good Lord honour you,
your families and your ministries in Jesus Name.
I thank all our invited guests who, in spite of their tight schedules, have come to celebrate
with us on this occasion. Just as the Psalmist said in Psalm 118 vs.26:''Blessed be he that
cometh in the name of the Lord...'', kindly consider yourself blessed for being part of this
celebration; and so shall it be in Jesus Name.
I must appreciate my responsible, articulate and indefatigable team for their unflinching
support. It is said that a tree cannot make a forest. I am a living witness to the potency of
this maxim. All of them, ministers, workers, members e.t.c., are very responsible and
responsive. They all have accepted and internalised what has become the sobriquet of the
Center of Fulfillment family: ''aut optimum aut nihil'' ,that is to say, it is either the best or
nothing, may the Lord continue to move you from glory to glory in Jesus Name.
If I were to begin to count our blessings since the establishment of this Parish, exactly
10(ten) years ago, this address will be turned to an inaugural lecture of a Professor of
History.
I will just summarise our testimony by humbly referring to Psalm 116 v.12 where the
Psalmist said, ''what shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me''?
You may just wish to look at this beautiful sanctuary and the commensurately beautiful and
handsome faces of the parishioners in order to have a rough idea of the innumerable and
gargantuan benefits the King of Glory has loaded us with in the past years.
As you celebrate with us today, may the Lord show you His glory also in Jesus Name.
In conclusion, I must not end this address without appreciating, once again, our father-in-
the Lord Pastor in Charge of Area (P.I.C) Pastor Ayo Okeleye, from time immemorial, he has
not failed to honour our invitation to our Anniversary celebration, may God bless and
honour you richly sir.
I must also appreciate members of the Anniversary Committee who worked assiduously,
spending their time and substance to ensure that today is glorious, may the Good Lord
glorify Himself the more in your life in Jesus Name.
Finally, I appreciate my wife and soul-mate, for her love, support and tender care. She is
undoubtedly my own Jewell of inestimable value; may the Good Lord continue to bless you
and all your biological and spiritual children in Jesus Name.
One final statement: As the Lord has promised to fill this house with glory (Haggai 2:7)
please release your faith and the King of Glory will not disappoint you.
Thank you, Happy Anniversary and God bless you all.
