TEAM CAMP GAME RULES
Regular high school rules will be used for all games with the following expectations:
1. 2 TEN minute halves. The clock will stop on all whistles during the last minute of each half and timeouts.
2. For overtime contests, the first team to score 1 point will be the winner.
3. Each team is allowed 2 timeouts per game. Timeouts are 45 seconds long.
4. FT’s will be awarded on all shooting fouls. We will shoot ONE FT for the points (1,2,or3). Fouls inside one minute of each half will be
one shot worth 2 points.
5. Halftimes will be 2 minutes in length.
6. SUBStitutions can only be made during dead ball situations. Inform the officials if you want to sub on the next dead ball.
7. There is no over and back call or 10 second call on any courts that do not have a definite ½ court line. Both rules apply on courts where there
is a definite ½ court line.
8. Unsportsmanlike conduct resulting in a technical will result in 2 shots and a loss of possession. The individual charged with the infraction
will be asked to sit out the remainder of the game. A second infraction be the same individual will result in suspension for the rest of the
camp. Profanity will not be tolerated from players or coaches. Using the term “Jesus Christ” in frustration is offensive to the coaching staff
and players here at Concordia.
9. If you notice a problem with a referee, please inform the gym supervisor or Coach Olson. The gym supervisor will introduce himself or
herself at each gym. We want to have the best referees working the final tournament games, so your opinion is appreciated.
10. Make every effort to be on time for your games. Plan ahead so you know where you play next and give enough time to get there.
Two Minute Games
Rules:
Go to your assigned court for the start of the games. You will remain on that court the entire time.
You will only have 1 minute to talk with your team after the previous game ends.
Games are tied with 2 minutes remaining. Clock stops on all dead balls like a regular season game.
2nd foul will result in free throws – 2 FTs
Fouled on a shot will result in either 2 or 3 free throws based on the fouled shot.
Each team will be given 1 timeout per game.
In the event of a tie, jump ball, sudden death, first team to score 1 point.
It’s a 2 minute game. Anything can happen. Anybody can win.
