Thank you for purchasing Mobile Wi-Fi Router ME-C30G, please read this manual carefully and use properly

Before you use


- Because the product is using wireless, you cannot use it in some places that radio waves cannot reach such as
in tunnels, underground, the building, where the signal is weak or out of the service area. Additionally, you may
not be able to use it in even vantage point on the upper floors of high-rise apartment buildings, etc..
· If the radio wave condition is constantly worse, it may cause sudden communication interruption.
Communication may be interrupted even in the good radio wave condition. Please be forewarned.

· Although the product has a high confidentiality, because it uses radio waves, we cannot sure that a third party
will not be able to intercept the communication. Please understand about it.
· When the SIM card is not installed, you cannot use it

Notes on use wireless LAN
■For wireless LAN
Please do not use where electromagnetic waves are generated or the place which is magnetized AV OA equipment,
electric equipments。
Because of increase of noise and magnetic or electrical noise, it will not be able to communicate. Especially, when
using a microwave.
It may cause harmful interference near a TV, radio, etc., the TV screen may be distorted.
If a plurality of wireless LAN access points are using the same channel, it might not be scanned correctly.

■For frequency band


The seal is affixed to the back surface of the product indicates that the wireless device uses the band 2.4GHz and
adopted OFDM DS-SS as a modulation method and the interference is assumed as a distance 40m.

■Notes on Using 2.4GHz equipment


Frequency band that the product uses, specified low-power and the radio stations (radio stations requiring a
license) for mobile identification that is used in such production line of the factory as well as medical equipment,
scientific and other industrial microwave are operational (radio stations requiring a license) and amateur radio
stations (radio stations do not require a license).

1.3 Mounting / Removing the SIM card
SIM cards are IC card information, such as your phone number, has been recorded. Please install the SIM card into
the product in order to use the product. If you do not install to the product, you are unable to use data
communications.

1.3.1 Mounting
1. When the power of the product is on, turn off the power by pressing the power button for about 3 seconds.
Also, when the micro USB cable is connected to the product, please remove it.
2. Open the SIM card slot cover, make sure that IC part should be upside, insert it in the direction of the arrow.

1.3.2 Removing
1. When the power of the product is on, turn off the power by pressing the power button for about 3 seconds.
Also, when the micro USB cable is connected to the product, you have to remove it。

2. Open the SIM card slot cover, press and release the SIM card until you hear a click, SIM card comes out a little。
3. Pull in the direction of the arrow and remove SIM card。
4. Close the SIM card slot cover。

· Please do not touch IC part of SIM card and do not scratch。


· Do not install or remove SIM card by force. It may cause damage。
· It will cause damage if you insert a SIM card in the opposite direction。
· Do not install or remove the SIM card when the product is power ON. It may cause damage.

1.4 Charge of the product
At the time of purchase, the internal battery is not fully charged. When is your first time, please be sure to charge
them before using。

1.4.1 Charging with AC adapter


1. Connect the Micro USB cable to the USB connector of the product。
2. Connect to the AC adapter connector on the other end and plug it into the AC outlet plug of AC adapter for
home-use micro USB cable。

3. Battery status indicator lights up in red while charging and green lights when charging is complete。

1.4.2 Charging with PC


1. Connect the micro USB cable to the USB connector of the product.
2. Connect to the USB port of the PC Connect the other end of the micro USB cable。
3. Battery status indicator lights up in red while charging and green lights when charging is complete.

2. Setup
This page will explain how to connect to the wireless LAN equipment and the product

2.1 Power ON/OFF

1. When the product is turned off, press and hold the power button for about 2 seconds。
When the power is turned on, the LED status lights will be lighted in the order of red, green, blue, then green
light will be last for about 6 seconds at the end。

2. When the product is turned off, press and hold the power button for about 3 seconds。
When the power is turned off, LED status lamp will be lighted red in the order of 3G, LTE status lamp, lamp
status of wireless LAN.

2.2 Wireless LAN connection
2.2.1 How to connect with windows PC
■ Windows 7/Vista
It is described an example of the standard connectivity features of Windows 7 OS in this chapter.

1. Press and hold the Power ON button for about two seconds for the power of the product.
After Power LED changes to RED color and it is possible to ready usage of wireless LAN. And then LAN
wireless status LED will be changed to green color

2. Enable wireless LAN function of the computer.


How to enable the wireless LAN function of the computer is different for each model, please refer to the owner's
manual of your computer
3. Select next step
“Start menu” -> control panel-> Network & internet -> View network status and tasks. 。

4. Select "Connect to a network".

5. Select the item which is displayed MEC30G_XXXXXXXXXXXX. And then click the "Connect" button to
access internet. The initial value of the SSID of the product is printed on a label on the back side of the
product. If you change the settings, you have to change the configured SSID in configuration Tool

6. Enter the security key.


The initial value of the SSID of the product is printed on a label on the back side of the product. If you want to
change it, you should change by using WEB UI.

7. If you can not access internet, please try again 3~4 step again.
And then check the status of the wireless LAN connection.

■Windows 8
It is described an example of the standard connectivity features of Windows 8 OS in this chapter

1. Press and hold the Power ON button for about two seconds for the power of the product.

After Power LED changes to RED color and it is possible to ready usage of wireless LAN. And then LAN wireless
status LED will be changed to green color .

2. Enable wireless LAN function of the computer.

How to enable the wireless LAN function of the computer is different for each model, please refer to the owner's
manual of your computer .

3. After displaying the menu by moving the cursor to the top right of the screen "Start", please click on the “Settings”

3.1 ME-C30G configuration Tool
It is possible to access to set a setting value for the product using the Web browser of the connected device.

3.1.1 Starting and logging configuration tool


1. Connect the wireless LAN equipment such as a personal computer and the product.
For more information on the product and the wireless LAN connection procedure, refer to "Wireless LAN
connection with the product 2.2".

2. After starting a Web browser of wireless LAN equipment, and then enter "http://192.168.255.1/" in the
address field. It will appear the login screen.

3. Click the "Login" and enter the password in the password field.
Screen image has been described by way of Internet Explorer 9 in windows 7. Login password is set to
"1234" at the time of purchase of the product. We recommend the other value for security reasons.

4.1 Check Point
If the product does not work properly, please check the following. If it still does not work, even if you
check the followings, please contact our support desk.

4.1.1 When the product and wireless LAN equipment are not connected
1. Check if the wireless LAN function of the product and the wireless LAN equipment are on
2. The wireless LAN device you are using might not support the authentication method (802.11
authentication) set to the product. In this case, change the authentication method of the wireless LAN
device you are using. For further details, please refer to the instruction manual of your wireless LAN
device.
