1) Personally my favourite hero is my mom: of course she maybe not be a hero for

everyone, and even if I consider both of my parents to be my heroes, I tend to look

up to my mom a lot. Knowing her story, from being adopted at such a young age, to
traveling across the world to find a safe place again, to all the difficulties she faced in
her life while staying always strong and always putting her well-being after ours,
because everything she does it's to give us a better life then what she had, makes
me want to become a strong-minded, lovely woman like she is.

2) Beowulf is portrayed as possessing key heroic qualities, such as immense physical

strength, courage, and a strong sense of honor and loyalty to his people. He
demonstrates these qualities through his actions and words, as he takes it upon
himself to travel to Denmark to help the king and his people who are being terrorized
by the monster Grendel. Throughout the epic poem, Beowulf displays unwavering
determination and bravery in the face of danger, and prioritizes the safety of his
people above his own well-being.

3) Beowulf is considered a hero because he displays many heroic qualities, such as

physical strength, bravery, wisdom, and loyalty to his people. He is willing to put
himself in danger to protect others, and possesses a strong sense of honor and duty
to do what is right. Beowulf is also willing to face even the most fearsome enemies,
as demonstrated in his battles against Grendel and his monstrous mother, and later
against the dragon. These qualities, combined with his determination and courage,
make Beowulf a legendary hero in Anglo-Saxon literature.

4) In my opinion the society admires people like Beowulf because surely willingness of
individuals to defend their community and sacrifice themselves for the greater good is
considered a desirable trait, but also because sometimes common human beings are
too afraid to jump into action like Beowulf without thinking a moment more, so they
tend to idolize them because they'd like to be as courageous as them one day.

5) In the epic poem Beowulf, Grendel is described only as a fearsome and monstrous
creature and the rest of Grendel's appearance is left to the reader's imagination, but
he is often depicted as a large, powerful, and terrifying creature.
I Imagine him as a really tall figure, which resembles a human in its structure, with
hairy arms and back and big cat-like eyes that are red like blood.
Beowulf's decision not to use weapons to fight Grendel is likely due to the fact that
Grendel is impervious to traditional weapons, as he is not a mortal human. Beowulf's
decision to fight Grendel with his bare hands and rely on his superhuman strength
and courage demonstrates his bravery but also his will to be fair in the combat and at
the same level with the monster.

6) In today's society, we often consider heroic qualities such as bravery, self-sacrifice,

resilience, determination, leadership and a strong moral compass to be heroic.
Additionally, standing up for social justice, defending the rights of marginalized
groups, and promoting a cause without regard for personal gain are all contemporary
examples of heroic acts that are often recognized and admired.
7) A contemporary hero that comes to mind is Greta Thunberg, the Swedish
environmental activist who began the School Strike for Climate movement. At a
young age, Thunberg has demonstrated remarkable bravery and determination in
advocating for climate action and rallying millions of people around the world to take
action to address the climate crisis. Her commitment to protect the planet and fight
for a sustainable future has made her an iconic figure for heroic qualities in modern
society.

8) Like Beowulf, Greta Thunberg demonstrates qualities such as bravery and

determination, as well as a willingness to speak truth to power, even if it means to
face difficulties. Beowulf's leadership and courageousness in defending his people
from dangerous enemies, and standing up to the King of the Danes to confront
Grendel, parallels Greta Thunberg's leadership and unflinching activism in
advocating for climate action and raising awareness about the climate crisis, despite
facing criticism and opposition.

9) People have a natural inclination towards seeking out heroes as they often inspire
and motivate us to make positive change in our lives and the world around us.
Heroes can serve as role models, offering a sense of hope and inspiration by
demonstrating the power of individual actions and the impact we can have on the
world.
Also automatically I think that not having any hero would lead to a sense of
bewilderment

10) Heroes can help us with our fears in a number of ways. One way is by serving as a
source of motivation, reminding us that it is possible to overcome challenges and
obstacles, no matter how difficult they may seem. Heroes often demonstrate
incredible resilience in the face of danger, which can serve as a source of
encouragement and empowerment for us.

11) Modern heroes often fight various forms of injustice, inequality, and oppression, such
as social injustice, discrimination, poverty, and climate change. They may also fight
against systemic issues, power imbalances, corruption, and other threats to equality
and well-being, both on a local and global level. In many cases, modern heroes also
fight against indifference, apathy, and a lack of compassion in society, working to
create a more inclusive and empathetic world.

12) Despite the progress made in many areas, there are still numerous challenges and
injustices in the world that require people to step up and take action. Modern society
is still grappling with issues such as poverty, discrimination, inequality, violence, and
environmental issues, and heroes serve as a source of inspiration and motivation for
others to work towards positive change. They also help to raise awareness and bring
attention to important causes, inspiring others to get involved and contribute to
making the world a better place.

13) As I already mentioned my hero today is my mom, and I admire a lot of women, like
Malala, that fight for women's rights, so I think those kind of people that fight for
equality and everyone's freedom are my idols and role models.
14) Another modern hero is Malala: her role in our society was and is still really important
and has great impact because she declared that even just a child, a teacher, a pen
and a book could save the world and I couldn't agree more with someone since the
true ruin of our world aren't evil people, but ignorant ones. Also as I already said,
being someone who will always fight when it comes to defending the rights of anyone
to reach the goal of equality, especially when it comes to women now, her battle for
this cause always inspires me. Women like are the reason we got the possibilities we
have today and the reason we'll never stop to try getting justice for the ones that died
innocently just for the mere fact of being what they were: women.
