Transport Manager
Profile
-Define the frameworks to make trade-offs between quality, speed, cost.
- Find situations in the network where these trade-offs are not applied correctly, leading to an inefficient
network
-Run Simulation to optimise network and logically suggest and define distribution framework for various
product lines
- Build a proof of concept to solve the problem initially
- Work with Business Intelligence / Software Development to automate the methodology
- Set up the mechanism to regularly review the gaps in optimality and suggest network changes to make sure
the problem stays fixed
-Ensure and meet Safety, Audit & Compliance requirements and provide risk management framework
-Build and demonstrate efficacy of central command tower to monitor all movements and flag off concerns,
pre-alerts, facilitate re-routing & rescheduling.
-Design and build self-reinforcing matrices which enhance performance and reduce vulnerability.
-Lead on performance benchmark of quality, speed and cost and raise bar for the industry
Requirements
Must be data-driven and enjoy analysing large quantities of data and turning them into crisp insights
An excellent problem solver, with a demonstrated ability to bring structure to complex projects and break
them down into smaller pieces
You are able to deliver projects against tight deadlines and are comfortable with competing priorities.
Should get energy from finding root causes for recurring problems and inventing new tools and processes
to avoid them.
Eager to learn about the complexities of network and the systems that support it. At the same time,
you have the communication skills to explain this to someone without subject matter expertise.
Able to coordinate multiple cross-functional projects in parallel across Tech, Operations, Supply Chain
and Finance.
Constantly learn and improve yourself
Translate strategic directions into a project roadmap and build the resourcing plan to deliver on this
roadmap
Basic Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Transportation, Mathematics, Physics or other
technical field
Experience of Supply Chain/ Transportation/Project Management/Management Consulting or related
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, able to explain complex topics in simple terms
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities
- Experience in prioritizing multiple concurrent projects while still delivering timely and accurate results
Advanced Excel proficiency
Basic knowledge of SQL (data-independent)
