My Research on the topic: CUI vs GUI
Introduction:
Greetings to one and all reading this document, myself Vaibhav Kumar
is going present a research file on the topic of CUI vs GUI.

What is Character User Interface?
Character user interface (CUI) is a text based interface that uses
alphabets and numbers to perform commands on a computer.
What is Graphical User Interface?
Graphical user interface (GUI) that allows users to visually interact and
command a computer using a mouse as a pointing device.
Who uses CUI?
System administrators (sysadmins) are IT professionals who ensure
that an organization's computer systems and networks are functioning
smoothly and securely. They are the backbone of an organization's IT
infrastructure.
Computer programmers are professionals who write, test, and maintain
code to create software and applications that work properly.
Power users are people who use advanced features of a product or
system to maximize its capabilities.
Who uses GUI?
Computer users

GUIs are used to interact with computers and websites quickly and
intuitively. They allow users to perform tasks by clicking on icons,
buttons, and menus.
Mobile Users
GUIs are used for navigation and other tasks on smartphones, tablets,
and e-
readers.
Web users
GUIs are used in web browsers like Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
Software users
GUIs are used in software applications like Microsoft Office Suite and
Adobe Creative Cloud.
Gamers
GUIs are used to interact with games using graphical elements.
Designers
GUIs are used by designers, engineering teams, and product managers
to create user interfaces and digital products.
My Research Question:
Is GUI better than CUI or is CUI better than GUI. What are the key
differences and which one does the school society like better?
Hypothesis:
CUI requires people to learn quite a few codes and programs to
perform tasks however in GUI there is a visual environment in which

people can perform commands with a click of a button. In my opinion
people would prefer GUI over CUI.

Methodology:
1. Firstly, I will conduct a survey in school from Classes 7-8. The topic for
my Survey would be “Do you prefer to use CUI or GUI.”
2. After that I will record the results in a survey sheet.
3. Then I will insert the results into a Excel spreadsheet.
4. Finally, I will draw conclusions.

Conclusion:
I would like to conclude by saying that most people would prefer GUI
over CUI, a few prefer CUI but only for a new, immersive experience.
