The Self in the Learning Process

Among the 8 Multiple Intelligence of Howard Gardner, which one do you think you excel the
most? Justify your answer and put a picture of yourself doing what you’re good at.

Intrapersonal Intelligence: This intelligence involves my self-awareness,

introspection, and understanding my own emotions and motivations. I might possess a
strong sense of self-awareness and understand my own limitations and strengths. My
desire to "always try my best" suggests a strong internal drive and motivation, which
are key aspects of intrapersonal intelligence.
The Self in the Emotional Experience

1. Why it is important to manage your emotions?

Managing our emotions is crucial for overall well-being and success. When we can
effectively regulate our feelings, we can improve our relationships, make better decisions,
and reduce stress. Uncontrolled emotions can lead to impulsive behavior, conflict, and poor
mental health. By developing emotional intelligence, we can respond thoughtfully to
situations, build empathy, and cultivate resilience. This enables us to navigate challenges
with grace, maintain positive relationships, and achieve our goals with greater ease.

2. What is your most intense emotion? Do you experience it often? How do you manage this
emotion when it gets more intense than you like?

The most intense emotion I can vary widely depending on my experiences and personality.
However, emotions like anger, sadness, and anxiety are commonly experienced. These
emotions can arise from academic pressures, social challenges, or personal setbacks.

The frequency of experiencing these intense emotions can also vary. I may encounter them
more often due to specific circumstances or personality traits. For instance, a perfectionist
student might experience more anxiety when faced with challenging tasks or negative
feedback.

To manage these intense emotions I do deep breathing: taking slow, deep breaths can help
calm my mind and body, reducing feelings of anxiety and stress.
The Self in Success and Happiness

“TALENT counts ONCE but EFFORT counts TWICE in order to become successful”

- Angela Duckworth

*Cite specific example/s throughout your life which you experience personally the meaning
of success. Based your answers on the quotation above.

Angela Duckworth's assertion that "effort counts twice" resonates deeply with me. While
natural talent can provide a solid foundation, it is often persistent effort that truly propels one
towards success.

I've witnessed this firsthand in my academic journey. I may not have been the most naturally
gifted student, but I was always determined to put in the work. Countless hours of studying,
problem-solving, and seeking help from teachers and peers have been instrumental in my
academic achievements. It's through consistent effort that I've overcome challenges,
improved my skills, and achieved results that I once thought were beyond my reach.

Similarly, in my personal life, I've found that effort is essential for building strong
relationships. While initial connections may be facilitated by shared interests or mutual
attraction, nurturing and maintaining these relationships requires ongoing effort. This
involves active listening, empathy, compromise, and a willingness to invest time and energy.

In conclusion, while talent may provide a head start, it is often effort that determines the
ultimate outcome. By embracing challenges, persevering through setbacks, and consistently
striving for improvement, we can unlock our full potential and achieve our goals.
