ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POSTS of TENURE FACULTY (3 Years tenure)

Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), Mumbai, established in 1887, has been a trailblazer
in India's engineering education, research and training landscape. Prior to independence, VJTI played
a crucial role in fostering industrial development across united India. Following independence, it was
instrumental in the establishment of prestigious institutions like the IITs and RECs, contributing
significantly to the nation's technological advancement.

VJTI invites applications for the posts of TENURE FACULTY (on temporary basis for 3 years
extendable up to 5 years) from eligible candidates separately for each discipline.

The qualifications, honorarium and tenure for the post are as follows:

Ph.D. Rs. 85000 to Rs. 100000
every 11 Months

The mode of selection will be as follows:


1. Written test will be conducted for a discipline if the number of applications received are more
than 30 for that discipline.
2. The shortlisting of candidates will be done on the basis of performance in written test, experience
and academic credentials.
3. Online/offline interviews will be conducted for the shortlisted candidates as part of the final
selection process.

Important Notes:
1. Temporary Faculty on the job at VJTI can also attend the written test and interview.
2. Reservation Policy of the Government of Maharashtra shall be applicable for the selection
process.
3. The candidates who have submitted Ph. D. thesis are eligible to apply under Ph. D. category.
4. The candidates shall make a single pdf of the application form and all the relevant certificates/
documents.
