reliability was calculated seperately for state as well
Trait anxiety. The test retest reliability for state was found to be,
68 whereby the test retest reliability for Trait scale was 76 with
73 for the total scale.

The internal consistency of the scale was checked by

calculating the coefficient of correlations between total scores on
each of the sub-Scales and was found to be 63 for state items and
76 for Trait items and 72 for total scale.

The scale was measured for its split half reliability by

administering upon a group of 200 college students including male
and female aged 19-22 years and it was found to be 71 for state
test, 78 for Trait test and 76 for the total test.

Validity
As pointed out earlier the items of the present test were
collected from the standerdised tests available in this area and
gain checked by the experts rating. Furthernmore only those items
were selected who have highest frequency and accuracy (through
the administration of the test on 600 college students). This shows
that the present test passess high content validity.

For concurrent validity of the present test, the English

version of State Anxiety and Trait Inventory, Cattell and Scieries
(1963) IPAT Anxiety Scale and Taylor (1953) Manifest Anxiety
Scale were administered to a sample of 200 College Students (100
given in
Males and 100 Females) the correlation-Coefficients are
