2 water required for keeping earth in position, etc. Rate to include disposing the excess earth and spreading in layers to the required levels
outside the site wherever specified or identified by the local authorities. If the earth available is of good quality according to the EIC the
same shall be stacked within the site for use in backfilling foundation and plinth later. Note: 1) Authorised working space shall be considered

Excavation in Soft Rock: Earthwork excavation in all type of Dis-Integrated rock, hard shale, stone of a similar hardness and boulders that
cannot be poclainable including loading, carting away from the site lead, unloading and dozing at disposal yard etc. complete as
directed by EIC. Rate shall include for disposal of excavated soft rock including soft Dis-Integrated rock away from the site either by manual or
by mechanical means, including loading & unloading, necessary equipments, tools & plants, dressing to proper level and grade as required,
dumping the soil away from the site on the ground legally approved by local authorities, taking necessary precautions to prevent any
3 spillages or spoiling of the public roads during removal & transporting the soil, all consumables including removal of soil excavated extra by
the contractor for providing shoring & strutting, extra working space as required for any kind of works etc complete, as directed.Rate shall
includes To prevent sliding of sides of foundation , the contractor shall provide effective and sufficient protection such as but not limited to
sheet piling or any other method . The rate shall includes providing Staging, timbering, strutting and de-watering etc., (baling out water either
sub soil, rain water or surface) The contractor shall keep the foundations dewatered by Deep well / Well point dewatering system and also
arrange to drain them off by suitable drains and other means and keep the work place free from flooding / water logging and fit for carrying on

b) From 1.50m to 3.00m depth Cum 100
Excavation in Hard Rock /Boulders (more than 1/2 Cum in size un-poclainable) without blasting method, by chiseling/ wedging to
required level including all leads and lifts, stacking in trapezoidal shape the excavated rock within project site at approved location, dressing,
grading, cleaning, excavating loose pockets and compacting them after backfilling as directed etc. as per detailed specification and
conforming to safety rules of Authority during the progress of work.Rate shall include for materials, labours, equipment, tools & plant,
transportation, site clearances, setting out, shoring, strutting, dewatering, bailing out or pumping out of water in the excavation from rain / sub
4 soil, slips and falls in excavation, manual excavation for leveling, dressing the edges, with all leads inside and outside and lifts. Pre & Post
levels of excavation strata shall be recorded for payment. In case, measurements of rock in pit excavation are not possible, the
measurements shall be taken as stack measurements. The excavated material shall be stacked properly and separate payment for stacking
is not admissible. Deduction shall be made for voids at the rate of 40% of the volume of stack measurements to reduce them to pit
measurements. Working space as per IS 1200 shall be paid. The Depth of Foundation shall be considered from NGL. After the measurement
the stack shall be removed and disposed off away from site or as directed to be stacked at inside the site for further use.
