Future with Will
We use "will" to talk about:
• Decisions made at the moment of speaking:
Example: I’m thirsty. I will get some water.
• Predictions about the future based on opinion or belief:
Example: I think it will rain tomorrow.
• Promises, offers, or requests:
Example: I will help you with your homework.
Structures:
Affirmative Form
Subject + will + verb (base form)
She will call you later.
Pedro and Mike will help me study.
It’s raining, I will get my umbrella.
Structures:

Subject + will + verb (base form) Subject + will not (won’t) + verb (base form)
She will call you later. She won’t call you later.
Pedro and Mike will help me study. Pedro and Mike will not help me study.
It’s raining, I will get my umbrella. I won’t help you! Do it yourself!

Will she call you later? > Yes, she will. // No, she won’t.

Going to
Future with “going to”
We use "going to" to talk about:
● Plans or intentions decided before speaking:
Example: I’m going to visit my grandma next week.
● Predictions based on present evidence:
Example: Look at those clouds! It’s going to rain.
Structures:
Affirmative form:
➢ Subject + (am/is/are) + going to + verb (base form)
Example: She is going to study tonight.
Example: Pedro and Mike are going to play soccer next Friday
Example: I am going to travel to Japan Next year.
Structures:
Negative form:
➢ Subject + (am/is/are) + not + going to + verb (base form)
Example: She isn’t going to study tonight.
Example: Pedro and Mike aren’t going to play soccer next Friday
