What are the career options for fashion designing and tailoring?
This step is a must if you are passionate about pursuing a career in the fashion
field.
The second idea of success comes down to money - how much you've
made while doing it all. Fashion is a business with sustainable and
creative ideas and it should give you a profit with a good reputation.
In my opinion, there are two types of success as a fashion designer. The
first includes your ideas, artistic view, seeing the fashion history
bringing a sustainable change to it and learning new fashion all the way.
I know you are passionate about fashion, so I'm going to give you a
simple task now. If you have read till now you have crossed the 1st
step.
So the 2nd step is here, take a pen and a paper in your hands and write

What are the tools we use in FD and tailoring?
These tools are basic for self learners and also for fashion students:
1.Sketching Tools:
Pencils 2H-8B grade, markers, paints, sketches, paper with good gsm
These are basic tools for designing and drafting clothing ideas. As
beginners we can start with basic pencil and paper. Learn about the
anatomy of the human body and shapes, designs.
For digital sketches:
Digital sketch pads (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Wacom tablets): Used by
modern designers to create digital sketches using software like Adobe
Illustrator or Photoshop.
2.Dress Form (Mannequin): (optional)
A dress form is used to visualize how designs look in 3D and to create
and adjust patterns. Initially we can practice with our own
measurements.
Body form (mannequin) is mandatory only if we want to learn how to
drape and small in seam gathers while creating a dress. It is not
mandatory at initial stages.
3.Measuring Tape:
For taking accurate body measurements and ensuring correct fitting
4.Sewing Machine:
There are 3 types of sewing machine:
Domestic sewing machine
Portable sewing machine
Lock stitch or industrial sewing machine
The primary tool used for assembling garments.
5.Pattern Paper: (optional)
At the initial stages of practice
we can use newspapers.
Pattern paper is a special type
of paper used for creating
garment patterns.
6.Other small tools
