The University of Nottingham Trent,
United Kingdom.

Subject: Statement of Purpose

Respected Sir/Madam,
I would like to introduce myself as Min San Yatt. I am a citizen and permanent
resident of No-10/LAMANA(Naing)027990. I was born on August 24 in 1999. I hold a
Myanmar passport of passport number MG806914. I am preparing to continue my study,
Bachelor of civil engineering at University of East London. I would like to request
you to grant me a student offer letter so I can commence my studies in the UK.
Academic background
Regarding my academics, I successfully completed my Post-Secondary Education which
is called Matriculation Exam in Myanmar from No.357. After getting the board exam
marks, I joined the ASSOCIATESHIP OF GOVERNMENT TECHNICAL INSTITUTE and got the
diploma of Civil Engineering. The program was three years long ( Two years
coursework and one Year Internship). During my internship, I got an opportunity to
learn about the Civil Society Organization . Later on, I got a chance to join the
Bachelor of Civil Engineering but unfortunately when the pandemic hit my school got
closed and I did not get a chance to join the school again. During my study at AGTI
, I was also studying for Geography at Yangon and completed in 2019. Apart from the
internship, I do not have any significant working experience.
Reasons for choosing UK
The UK is a truly reflection of academic success with the world recognized
universities , a culturally diverse country with rapidly growing international
students up to 485,645 students globally. It is culturally diverse, friendly
natives, and high quality of education . Although tuition fees and living
experience are not that friendly, my father and I decided to choose it as the
education there is the best out of the world. The graduates from the UK are leading
the world of business and their decision making skills and the course curriculum
are considered as one of the best in the world. In addition to this, the UK has the
lowest crime rate around the world . As I am a student who is looking for
experiences beyond the classroom and I considered that the courses in the UK are
designed to meet my needs.
I have strong reasons to choose University of Nottingham Trent UK among many other
universities across the UK . I conducted an informative research including all
these universities, by visiting their websites to learn about faculties and
university culture. I found out plenty of institutions in UK who are providing
Civil Engineering courses just like Nottingham Trent University where the course
duration is 3 years, minimum PTE overall score of 54 (with no individual band score
of less than 51) and if I do not meet the requirement, they do have the pre-
sessional English programme. The tuition fees is around 13000 per year which again
is pretty affordable and fits with my target budget.
After achieving my bachelor degree in the UK , I will return back to Myanmar and
here I am interested in working in a Surveyors and CAD technician role like Chief
Operating Officer, Project Manager. I will seek opportunities in international
companies such as TAT construction Co.,LTD,Shaeto construction Co., LTD .
On a concluding note, I would like to appreciate you for taking the time to review
my Personal Statement. I am sure the varied culture in university where students
from across the globe would be present will be an advantage for me and would grill
me to the perfection. If given an opportunity to pursue my bachelor studies from
NTU, it is my commitment to make the best use of this opportunity without violating
any laws, rules and regulations of the Uk government. I look forward to hearing
from you with a positive response.

Regards,
Min San Yatt.
