DEER-FOX TWIG
Materials:
Yarn 55% cotton, 45% acrylic yarn ( 50g/160m/174yards),
Stuffing ( hollowfiber),
Crochet hook # 2,
Scissors, a large eye blunt end needle (knitting) for joining details, a long needle for
joining,
Buttons (d=1,5 sm=0,39 inch) and strong cotton thread for attaching legs.
Symbols:
MR – magic ring/amigurumi ring
sc – single crochet
ch- chain
sl st – slip stitch
inc – increase
dec – decrease
… - repeat to the end of the row
Crochet all details in the spiral, without lifting chains. Use a stitch marker or a contrast
yarn to mark the beginning of the row. I make “invisible” decreasing (in front walls of
a loop). As a detail gets bigger, stuff it with hollowfiber.
Head:
Stuff the head while crocheting. I start to stuff after I start to work decreasing. The
head should be stuffed tightly.
Work 6 sc in MR, then:

Cut the yarn, leaving a long end for sewing.
Then choose a place of the tail bend in the upper part, bend the tail choosing the best
position for it. Sew the opposite sides, fasten the yarn and hide the ends inside the tail.
Embroider the pattern with black yarn.
Press the tail into at the bottom to make it easier for sewing.
ASSEMBLY.
Choose a place to sew a nose and sew it, stuffing with filler.
Then choose place for ears. They should be moved backside but not in the center.
Embroider eyes.
Sew the antlers lowering them a little bit to the forehead.
Work sc for the neck at the bottom of the head in spiral, starting from the left side.
Crochet the second row with sc to the middle of the ring.
Fasten the yarn and cut it, leaving the end for sewing.
Sew the head to the body.
Choose the place for the front legs. Fasten them with a long needle using buttons. I use
a strong cotton thread folded several times for fastenings
Choose the place for the hind legs. Make sure that the hooves are on the same level.
Fasten them in the same way.
Embroider the pattern on the back with black yarn.
Sew the tail.
