ILS Receiver DDM Conversion Chart

The document provides a DDM (Difference in Depth of Modulation) conversion chart for testing ILS (Instrument Landing System) receivers, detailing the relationship between tone ratios, percent modulation levels, and receiver microamp levels for both localizer and glideslope signals. It includes a table with various tone ratios and their corresponding DDM values, modulation percentages, and receiver deflections. Additionally, it notes the predominant tones for localizer and glideslope signals, referencing information from Rockwell-Collins.

DB/DIFFERENCE IN DEPTH OF MODULATION (DDM) TABLES

Different but equivalent terminology is used between generations of test equipment used for testing ILS receivers. The table below
provides necessary information for conversion between DDM factors commonly used and ratio of audio tones expressed in dB.
Additionally, equivalent percent amplitude modulation levels and nominal receiver microamp levels are provided.

is down.
