sentences, including non-essential appositives and appositives at the end of
sentences.

Part 1: Identify the Appositive


Instructions: Underline the appositive or appositive phrase in each
sentence.

1. My dog, a golden retriever, loves to play fetch.


2. Sarah, my best friend, is coming over tonight.
3. We visited Paris, the capital of France, last summer.
4. The book on the table, a mystery novel, kept me up all night.
5. Mr. Johnson, our math teacher, gave us a pop quiz.
6. My favorite snack is popcorn, a buttery treat.
7. The artist displayed her work at the gallery, a talented painter.
8. My brother is studying engineering, a challenging field.
