About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced QA Lead to oversee our quality assurance efforts for a
critical project within the capital markets space. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the delivery
of high-quality software systems, including the main valuation system for rates, market data
sourcing, and regulatory margin calculators. The ideal candidate will have a strong background
in QA methodologies, experience in financial services, and a passion for leading teams to
achieve excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the QA strategy and execution for the project, ensuring alignment with business
objectives and quality standards.
Oversee the testing process for multiple systems ensuring comprehensive coverage and
adherence to testing requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and
business analysts, to define testing scope, requirements, and deliverables.
Develop and implement testing frameworks, processes, and best practices for manual and
automated testing, targeting high-quality outcomes.
Manage a team of QA engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to enhance
their skills and performance.
Monitor and report on testing progress, defect status, and overall project quality to
stakeholders and management.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to optimize testing
efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure rigorous regression testing and functional testing of all systems, focusing on low-
latency applications and fixed income products.
Advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle, promoting a culture
of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Experience: 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years in
a lead or managerial role.
Technical Skills:
o Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing tools, and automation
frameworks.
o Experience with Java, C++, SQL, and web UI testing (e.g., Selenium, Robot
Framework).
o Familiarity with financial services, particularly in capital markets and trading
systems.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering collaboration and a
results-driven environment.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the
ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to
detail.
