Please go through this booklet for details of registration of courses in the first
semester 2024-2025.

REGISTRATION SCHEDULE
Students should use their ERP credentials for registration of courses.
Interaction with Registration Advisors for
(i) Higher degree and PhD students admitted in t h e Year 2023 and earlier
Day & Date : Thursday, August 1, 2024
Time : 9 AM to 5 PM
Registration Advisors (RA) will be available during 9 AM to 12 PM
Place : and 3 PM to 5 PM in their offices as notified on Page 4 onwards. The
registration process will be password protected through ERP for the First
semester 2024-25.
NOTE:
1. Registration for Higher Degree students is offline. Please collect passcodes from RAs of
your department. PhD students’ registration do not require any passcode for registration
through ERP.
(ii) First Degree students admitted in Year 2023 and earlier
Day & Date : Thursday, August 1, 2024
Time : 9.30 AM to 5.30 PM
Registration Advisors (RA) will be available during 9 AM to 12 PM and

NOTE:
1. Bring your ID card / any ID proof to collect the passcode from your Registration
Advisor (RA). Without passcode, ERP will not allow the submission of final
course package.
2. Student should register strictly during the allotted time slot.

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS
▪ Show your ID card / any other ID proof and collect Passcode from your Registration
Advisor (RA). After verification, RA will issue passcode, which is required to

complete the registration. RA list is available on page 4 onwards.
▪ Open ERP website (https://erp.bits-pilani.ac.in/) and login through “Student System”
tab using your BITS Email address and password.
▪ The details of registration including priority numbers are shared in the drive

▪ Register for the prescribed courses by adding courses in your cart on ERP.
▪ Registration of Elective course(s) for Higher Degree Students: Refer the pool of
elective courses mentioned in the Bulletin section IV (available on AUGSD-AGSRD
website) for yourprogram.
Note: Student should take utmost care while preparing their course package on the day
of registration. In case you are not registered or registered partially on the
registration day, then your registration will be completed administratively based
on the available seats in various courses/ sections. In such cases, you may not get
the choice of your sections. No further requests in this regard will be entertained.
▪ LATE REGISTRATION:
• Late registration is scheduled on August 8, 2024 (9. 30 AM to 5 PM) and will be
allowed only for genuine cases after checking the submitted supporting documents.
• You have to collect passcode from the AUGSD office (CC-117) between 9 AM to 11
AM
• Students opting for late registration should note that the elective courses will
begiven depending on the availability of seats.
▪ REGISTRATION AMMENDMENT (Addition/ Substitution):
• Repeat of course is not allowed on the day of registration.
• Repeat of the course will be with the approval of course IC and HOD of the offering department.
• Refer Page 6 for instructions regarding registration amendments (Addition/
Substitution).

REGISTRATION AMENDMENT
ADDITION / SUBSTITUTION
➢ Addition/substitution/repeat for First Degree and Addition/substitution for Higher Degree
students will be scheduled during 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM on 10th August and 16th August
2024.
➢ Students may check the seats available in any particular course on ERP portal.
Registration will only be allowed in case of availability of seats.
➢ No request will be entertained for change in Practical/Tutorial/Lecture sections of
already registered courses.
➢ Registration amendment requests will be processed irrespective of PR number on first
come, first served basis in real time.
➢ Students may submit addition, substitution and repeat requests simultaneously but
ERP will not allow request beyond 25 units credit.
➢ Students should ensure that the requested course for addition/substitution fits in their
existing Time Table without any clash. Addition/substitution/repeat request will be
removed if it creates clash in Time Table.
➢ Compulsory (Core) courses are not allowed for substitution.
➢ It is individual student’s responsibility, to ensure the eligibility for the course as well as
graduation requirements (in terms of number of units and number of courses).
Check your final course package for the semester after completion of addition/
substitution exercise by 5 PM on August 16, 2024.

Guidelines for Registration Advisor (RA)
1. Time slot for interaction with students
09:00 AM to 12:00 PM
All First Degree and Higher Degree students &
admitted in 2023 & earlier 03:00 PM to 05:00 PM
2. Please be available in your office during the above-mentioned time.
3. The students will visit your office and collect the passcodes and grade sheets during this time. If
any student visits you before the specified time while they are on campus, you may provide them
with the passcode.
4. Please check the ID cards/any valid ID proof and take the signatures in the list provided making
sure that the students are not collecting passcodes and grade sheets for anyone else.
5. Please do not message/e-mail passcodes to any student. In case of any request, please refer to FIC,
RACM.
6. The uncollected passcodes if any, will be collected by the AUGSD office later.
7. RAs are requested to refer section IV of the bulletin to check whether a particular course
is Discipline/Open/Humanities elective for the respective discipline.
