GREETINGS from Indian River County, Florida

Indian River County is home to three vibrant and unique

cities—Vero Beach, Sebastian, and Fellsmere—each
offering its own special charm. Whether you’re looking
for a luxurious beach escape, a lively riverfront experi-
ence, or a peaceful retreat into nature, these cities have
something for everyone. Let’s explore what makes each
one so special.

Vero Beach:
Where the Tropics Begin
Vero Beach is a coastal gem with 26 miles of pristine
shoreline, perfect for beach lovers. The absence of
high-rise buildings allows the natural beauty of the
area to shine through, creating a rare and refreshing
coastal experience. The town blends luxury with
local charm, featuring posh hotels, chic boutiques,
and a vibrant dining scene inspired by the ocean’s
bounty. Art and culture thrive here, with world-class
galleries, public sculptures, and high-end theatrical
performances. Vero Beach is also deeply committed
to heritage and sustainability, adding depth to this
tropical paradise.

Sebastian:
A Riverfront Paradise
Nestled between Vero Beach and
Fellsmere, Sebastian is a lively riverfront
town with a character all its own.
The stunning Indian River Lagoon
serves as a scenic backdrop, offering
endless opportunities for water-based
adventures. Sebastian is known for
its vibrant community spirit, with
famous festivals, local breweries, and
neighborhood restaurants that foster
a warm, friendly atmosphere. The town
also offers plenty of outdoor activities,
including skydiving, deep-sea fishing,
and opportunities to spot endangered
sea turtles. The historic Pelican Island
National Wildlife Refuge, the first
national refuge in the United States, adds
a unique historical and natural element
@VisitIndianRiver
to this charming town.

Fellsmere:
A Rural wonderland
@VisitIndianRiver

Fellsmere, often considered the sister city to Vero Beach,

offers a tranquil escape into rural Florida’s natural
beauty. This rural wonderland is characterized by
undeveloped wildlands and thriving ecosystems, making
it a haven for nature enthusiasts. Kayaking along the
serene shores of Blue Cypress Lake reveals a flourishing
osprey population, while the T.M. Goodwin Waterfowl
Management Area attracts birders with its vast wetlands.
Farm 13/Stick Marsh, a hidden gem known for legendary
bass fishing, adds to the area’s appeal. In Fellsmere, the
unspoiled tropical paradise of old Florida comes to life.
