At the start of the day the mass of a bird is 4.628kg.


Later in the day the mass of this bird is 4.693kg.

(a) Calculate the increase in the mass of the bird. Give your answer in grams.
(b) Calculate the percentage increase in the mass of the bird for the day.

(a) State the formula used to find the size of the exterior angle of a polygon with 𝑛 sides

(b) State the formula used to find the size of the interior angle of a polygon with 𝑛 sides

(c) A square and a regular pentagon are joined along one edge as shown in the diagram below.

Ahmed invests $4000 at a rate of 1.5% per year simple interest.

(a) Calculate the value of the investment after 24 months.

(b) Determine how long it will take for Ahmed’s investment to double at this rate.

(b) Solve the simultaneous equations

2𝑥 + 3𝑦 = 7
