In Exiled by Edna St Vincent

Villay, the poet feel
imprisoned and crushed by
the city,and she see herself
as fundamentally different
from city people, in part,
since her deep connection
to nature. Even if Millay
claims that the sea or the
countryside offers them
freedom and shelter in the
challenges of city life, his
return implies new threats
and destruction and death.
Therefore, she is in eternal
exile, since neither city nor
country offers her the
freedom and the home she
wants
EXPLANATION:
In the title of this poem by Edna St
Vincent Millay, the word exiled is used.
This poem is defined as banishing or
expelling people from one's home or
country. It's not, however, about
someone being expelled from their
country or home. It refers mainly to
someone who wants to be banned from
their place they are living. The word
exiled is used in the title of this poem
written by Edna St. Vincent Millay . It's
definition in this poem is to banish or
expel from one's own country or home.
Though, it isn't really talking about
someone being banished from their
country or home. It is mostly referring to
someone wanting to be banished from
the place they are living. In this poem
this person is saying that instead of
being in the city he or she wants to go
back to the ocean and away from all
the loud noises and the commotion,
next to the waves
Edna St. Vincent Millay is a modern
woman, who has been known for
crossing borders–not only
geographically but also historically and
poetically. The poetry of Millay's city
deals with frontiers when it comes to
women migrating from rural to urban
environments. Although Millay
became a classic new woman in the
city, her poetry features an exile state
faced in the city by contemporary
women.
