Vision And Mission Statement
In this essay, I will explain how I developed my personal vision and mission statements
using the 'Five Step Plan' outlined in Chapter 4 of the textbook by Randall S. Hansen, PhD.
These statements reflect my core values and goals, providing clear direction for both my
personal and professional growth. By developing these statements, I am taking an
important step toward aligning my daily actions with my long-term aspirations.
When creating my vision and mission statements, I followed the Five Step Plan outlined in
the textbook (Randall S. Hansen, PhD). The first step was to reflect on my past successes.
This allowed me to recognize how my achievements have shaped my personal and
professional growth.
The second step was identifying my core values. These values include Family, Leadership,
Creativity, Flexibility, Responsibility, and Problem-Solving. Among these, Leadership
stands out as the most important, as it drives many of my actions and decisions. This step
helped me gain a deeper understanding of what I truly value in life.
The third step involved identifying my contributions to my family, community, the world,
and my friends. For example, my contribution to the world involves empowering individuals
in need, helping them create positive changes in their lives and those around them. This
reflection on my contributions allowed me to see how my actions can impact others on a
larger scale.
Next, I focused on my goals. I identified both my long-term and short-term goals. My short-
term goal is to finish university with the highest GPA possible and secure an internship to
develop my skills for the future. My long-term goal is to work on my skills and career, with
the aim of starting my own business to help develop my community and support others in
achieving success.
Finally, through this process of understanding my values, contributions, successes, and
goals, I was able to craft my personal mission and vision statements. This exercise not only
helped me clarify my purpose but also provided me with a clear direction for the future.
My vision is to become a pinnacle leader, known for my integrity, positive attitude, and
dedication to creating a better future. I aim to foster an environment where everyone can
reach their full potential.
My mission is to establish and manage an organization that promotes innovation,
empowers individuals, and makes a meaningful contribution to society. I aspire to create a
workplace where creativity is encouraged, teamwork is valued, and every individual is
supported in realizing their full potential. Through this organization, I hope to create a
positive and enduring impact on both the people I work with and the communities we
serve.
In conclusion, creating my personal vision and mission statements has been an essential
exercise in clarifying my values and long-term goals. By identifying what I truly value—such
as leadership and innovation—I have been able to craft statements that will guide my
actions and decisions. These statements not only provide me with direction but also
inspire me to lead by example and make a meaningful impact on the people and
communities I serve.
