13. The slant height and the curved surface area of a solid metal right circular cone are 29 cm and
580π cm2 respectively.
(a) Find the height of the circular cone. (3 marks)
(b) The circular cone is divided into three parts by two planes which are parallel to its base.
The top part is a right circular cone A, the middle part is a frustum B and the bottom part
is a frustum C. The curved surface areas of A and B are equal. The curved surface area of
C is 6 times the curved surface area of A.
(i) Express the volume of C in terms of π.
(ii) If C is melted and recast into 5 identical solid metal right circular cylinders with the
height 10 cm, find the base radius of each circular cylinder.

15. There are 6 white balls, 1 blue ball and 2 red balls in bag A. From bag A, 2 balls are randomly
chosen at the same time.
(a) Find the probability that a blue ball is chosen. (2 marks)
(b) In bag B, there are 2 white balls and 1 red ball. The 2 balls chosen from bag A are put into
bag B and then 3 balls are randomly chosen from bag B at the same time. Find the
