1. Compatible Models
1.1 Compatible models classification
The product is suitable for all the models with Sync2 system and original 8-inch
screen, includes but not limited to Mondeo, Kuga, Focus, Taurus, Edge, Mustang,
Explorer and so on.

2.5 System switching method
System switching method will be different, which is depends on car models.
For example, you can long-press for 2 seconds of “previous” or “next” button to
switch between original system or CarPlay system, you also can long-press “ok”
or “sound” button to switch the system, if your car has these buttons.
2.6 CarPlay box & Wi-Fi antenna installation
CarPlay box can be installed inside the Storage box in front of passenger, or
come other suitable locations.
The Wi-Fi antenna cannot be placed close to metal objects. (The signal will be

very poor if Wi-Fi antenna is close to the metal objects.)
2.7 Mic installation
Below is the example of Mic installation and cable laying, just take it as reference.
3. Sound Setup
1) Disconnect the Bluetooth between your phone and your car.
2) Connect the Audio cable together as below shown

Notice: Sound transmission need to connect “Aux out”.
3） AUX setup
Before using the CarPlay system, please finish “AV IN” setting, and then the
CarPlay /Android Auto system will have sound.
Below is “AV IN” setting steps:
a) Enter into the “Entertainment“ interface，Click the “Entertainment”
b) Click the “A/V In”

c) Return to CarPlay interface and done
4. Reverse Camera and 360 Camera
1) Original camera setting
If the car has original camera, code NO.1 of toggle switch need to be set as “on”
status.
2) Aftermarket rear camera
For the aftermarket rear camera, please follow below sketch map to connect the
cable.

3) Aftermarket 360 camera
360 camera needs to connect cable NO. 3 and NO. 9（REVERSE CAMERA IN
and 360CAMERA CONTROL）.
5. CarPlay and Android Auto
5.1 Wireless CarPlay / Android Auto
1) Disconnect or remove the Bluetooth connection between your phone and
car.
2) Turn on your mobile Phone “Wi-Fi” switch.
3) Turn on “Bluetooth” as well.
4) Search the Bluetooth of the product. The Bluetooth name of the product
shall be “Car Audio_XXXX”.
5) Pair the Bluetooth.
6) Allow the sync
7) Start to use CarPlay / Android Auto function.

5.2 Wired CarPlay / Android Auto
1) Connect the Product to your phone by USB cable.
2) Use wired CarPlay / Android Auto function.

6. Air Play and Mirror Link
6.1 Wireless Air Play
1) Please disconnect the CarPlay connection if the CarPlay is working (turn off
“WI-FI” switch).
2) Click “Mirroring” icon on the main interface as below figure 7.1, the hotspot
name and password will be shown at the lower left corner of the mirroring
interface as figure 8 shown.

3) Select and Click iPhone as shown in below figure 7.2.

4) Search and connect WI-FI named “CarPlay_XXXX” shown at the bottom left
corner of the screen by your iPhone, and enter password: 88888888. (Only
the first-time connection needs to enter password)
5) Open the shortcut menu bar of iPhone, select "screen mirroring" and turn it
on, and then you can use Air Play function.
6.2 Wireless Android Mirroring
1) Download “M-link” app by your android phone and complete the installation.

2) Disconnect the CarPlay connection if the CarPlay is working as well.
3) Click “Mirroring” icon on the main interface as below figure 7.3.

4) Select and tick Android in figure 7.4

5) Turn on the Bluetooth of the android phone, search the Bluetooth named as
“Car Audio_XXXX” and pair it.
6) Go to the “Mobile network” setting of your phone, select “Tethering & personal
hotspot” and press “Portable WLAN hotspot”.
7) On the “Portable WLAN hotspot” interface, select “Configure WLAN hotspot”
to enter hotspot configuration interface, set the name and password of
"Personal Hotspot" to be consistent with the name and password shown on
the above figure 10 "Mirroring" interface.

8) Tick “Show advanced options” and select "5.0 GHz Band" for the hotspot AP
frequency band; turn on the "Personal Hotspot" switch, return to the main
interface of the phone and open "m-Link" to use mirroring function.

8. FAQ
Questions 1: No sound during the call
Solution: Disconnect the Bluetooth between your phone and your car.
Questions 2: Echo sound during the call
Solution: Press setting-system-factory mode-echo cancellation-starts to debug
from the bottom-right side- confirm after echo missing
Questions 3: Steering wheel control buttons
Solution: For the steering wheel control buttons, the CarPlay interface decoder
box support voice control button, Tel button, voice “+” and “-“ buttons,上下曲. the
other buttons are not supported.
Button functions description：
1) “Sound” button
Long-press “Sound” button for 2 seconds to use “SIRI” function.
2) Previous button:

press it one time to the beginning of the playing song;
Continuing to press it two times you can change to the previous song;
if you Long-press “Sound” button for 2 seconds to switch the system
between original system and CarPlay system.
3) Calling button: Press it to answer the calling.
