Truth
about Astro-Trading
By Yashwanth Tatineni

Alright, let’s be real. You’ve probably come across tons of articles and books about astrology in
trading—either they went way over your head, or they didn’t hit you with enough solid proof to take
it seriously. But this time? It’s different. We’re not just talking vibes and horoscopes here. We’re
diving into what astrology really is, how it connects to trading (financial astrology, anyone?), and most
importantly, I am bringing receipts. Let’s get into it.

What is Astrology?
Astrology is basically the OG way of finding patterns. It’s about studying the positions of the sun,
moon, planets, and stars to figure out how they might influence our lives and world events. Think of
it as the cosmic blueprint that some people swear by—whether it’s for love, life, or even trading.
What is Financial Astrology?
Now, take that cosmic energy and throw it into the stock market. That’s financial astrology. It’s all
about using planetary alignments, lunar cycles, and other celestial vibes to predict market trends.
The idea? The stars don’t just influence people—they might also give clues about when markets will
go up, down, or sideways.

Where Did Astrology Come From?

Astrology has existed forever. Here's a quick timeline:
• Babylonian (2000 BC): and -astrologist, mapping the sky to understand life on earth.
• Antique Greeks: He added philosophy, which made astrology more sophisticated.
• India (Vedic astrology): A super -detailed system focusing on moon chakras is still very big today.
• China: astrology related to nature and fate to emperor.
People have been looking at stars for answers for thousands of years.

What’s the general Take on Astrology?

Skeptical Vibes: A lot of scientists call it pseudoscience, saying it doesn’t have hard evidence.
Pop Culture Icon: Despite that, astrology is thriving—hello, zodiac memes, horoscopes, and birth chart
apps. In Finance: It’s niche, but some traders swear by it to spot market trends. To them, it’s not
"woo-woo"; it’s a secret weapon.

Who Was W.D.Gann?

W.D. Gann was the ultimate trading legend and My Guru
(Mentor) who mixed math, geometry, astrology and many other
occult sciences to predict markets. W.D. Gann, born on June 6,
1878, in Lufkin, Texas, developed an early interest in markets while
working as a newspaper salesboy on trains. In 1903, he moved to New
York City and started working at a major Wall Street brokerage,
where he began studying market patterns.
Some of his most famous predictions include the end of WWI
(November 9, 1918), the 1927 Cotton price peak (24.40), and the 1931
Stock Market Panic and Recovery. His ability to forecast major financial and global events cemented
his legacy as one of history’s most intriguing market analysts.

The Theory Behind Financial Astrology

Financial astrology operates on the premise that celestial movements affect human behavior, which
in turn impacts financial markets. This idea is not new, some of the key astrological indicator's
traders watch include:
Using Astrology in Market Prediction
Modern traders incorporating astrology into their strategies often combine it with technical and
Some of the methods include:
• Back testing Planetary Cycle: Analysis of the events of previous planets to determine recurrent
market patterns.
• Planetary Time for Trades: Transit of Planets, enter or exciting trades based on the dated
planets.
• Price conversion: Use latitude of planets to predict greater support and resistance levels.
• Vedic astrology: Some people I know and include me, using wood Astrology to predict the market's
strength and tendency, it will be upwards, will be a downturn or it may be sideways.

Basic Candlestick’s
For those who are new on candlestick charts, we will brush the basics of candlesticks before
digging deep into the analysis, they are a visual representation of price movements in the market.
Each candlestick shows a four main point for a certain time:
• Open: The price that the property started shopping.
• High: The highest price reached.
• Low: The lowest price reached.
• Closed: The value that the property ended the trade.
Candlesticks can be bullish (green) or recession (red), it depends on whether the closed price is
more than the opening value or low, below is the painting's representation below.

Let's get into the planets and astro physics

Here it is! All calculations are directly taken from my own webapp, which is packed with many
properties. But for today we will focus on two most important method’s:
• Orbital gravitational plotter:
• How the heavenly body (planets, moon, etc.) affects each other based on the Newtonian
gravity.
• Real time helps imagine oriental mechanics and planetary adjustment.
• Determines an angular distance to the northern or heavenly equator of the heavenly
organ, also called the declaration.
• Planetary Ingress Date Calculator: The planet calculates and shows the exact dates as the
planets move into a new zodiac sign.
My-web-App, used for all the data inputs

Orbital gravitational Plotter

Here’s the calculated plot of Mercury for 2023. We’ll use the turning points from this chart to
identify key moments and apply them to our trading approach.

The key dates mentioned above are now marked on the Trading View chart on a daily timeframe for
Nifty50. Now, let’s observe how the market reacts as it approaches these time resistance levels
and see if any significant price action unfolds around these points.
As we see, things are
pinpoint and very clear in
interpreting the fact that
as soon as the market
approaches these key dates
there is significant change
in the pre-existing trend
and in the marked dates it
has created bottoms and
rallied up.

Yes, skepticism is invited

with open hands but won't
last for long as we move
forward.
Now that we've covered the entire 2023 Mercury date points, wasn’t it spot on? While things may
vary from year to year, Mercury’s influence never fails to leave its mark, even in the most subtle
ways.

Planetary Ingress
Moving forward, we'll shift our focus to Bitcoin on a daily timeframe and analyze how Mercury’s
ingress affects its price movements. Let’s see what insights we can uncover!

After analyzing Bitcoin’s daily timeframe, the results speak for themselves— Right after
Mercury's ingress, we had a significant 17% drop in price.
It's not just a random coincidence; this is another very clear example of how planetary
movements influence market trends.
While no one thing dictates price action, the continuity in the consistency of Mercury's ingress
and market change reinforces the idea that times and celestial events are involved with financial
markets. Be it a trader, analyst, or financial astrology enthusiast, these
insights will surely provide an out-of-the-box advantage in timing the market.

The question isn’t "Does it work?"—we've seen the impact firsthand. The real question is,
"How can we refine and apply this knowledge even better?"

Astro-Trading in Real Time: My Predictions

Today, we covered simple but powerful astro-trading insight —and trust me, this is just the tip of
the iceberg. The astro-finance space is massive, underrated, and still a mystery to most But if
you’re still curious (and you should be), check out some of my past predictions on X (formerly
Twitter), where I’ve used time and price in some seriously wild ways. Let’s see how the universe
keeps lining up with the markets!

On July 12, 2024, I shared key times 9:47 AM and

10:51 AM for Nifty/BankNifty on X, these were
calculated using my astro-trading
methodology. (Tweet-1)

As shown on the Trading View chart, the market

experienced a sharp drop around 9:45 AM,
perfectly aligning with the prediction

Tweet-1
On July 30, 2024, I posted on X, highlighting 10:12
AM as a critical time for the Nifty50. (Tweet-2)

As seen in the accompanying Trading View chart,

the market aligned perfectly with the prediction.
Around 10:10 AM, the price found a key turning
point, leading to a strong upward movement shortly
after.

Tweet-3
On July 25, 2024, shared on X, I pointed out the time 10:27–10:35 AM as a crucial moment for the
Nifty50. (Tweet-3)
As shown on the TradingView chart, the market reached a significant turning point precisely around
this timeframe, followed by a clear directional move.
Tweet-4
On July 30, 2024, via X, I identified the time window between 11:38 AM and 12:05 PM as a period
where the market could move sideways to negative for Nifty/BankNifty. (Tweet-4)
Looking at the TradingView chart, the market aligned closely with the forecast, showing a sharp
downward movement shortly after 11:39 AM, validating the prediction.

Tweet-5
On July 29, 2024. I highlighted 10:45 AM as an important time to watch for market movement, with
a positive bias for the day. (Tweet-5)
Looking at the accompanying TradingView chart, the market perfectly aligned with this prediction.
Around 10:45 AM, there was a clear turning point, followed by a significant rally to the upside.
If all of this didn’t already blow your mind, here’s the cherry on
top:

Tweet-6

This tweet predicted market behavior for March 18th to 21st, and guess what? (Tweet-6)
• March 18th: Predicted as manipulative with movements on both sides, and the chart shows
exactly that—indecision with both upward and downward wicks.
• March 19th: Called for a negative day, and the red candlestick aligns perfectly with this
bearish prediction.
• March 20th: Forecasted as starting negative with a slight recovery, and the market
followed through with a bearish start and later went up, closed near to open.
• March 21st: Predicted a positive day, which the green candlestick clearly confirms with a
gap up.

Criticism and Skepticism

• Astro-trading, like astrology in general, gets a lot of side-eye from skeptics. Most critics call
it pseudoscience, arguing that markets move based on economic trends, supply & demand, and
investor sentiment, not planetary cycles. They say there’s no hard data to prove a connection,
and that any successful predictions are just coincidence or confirmation bias.

• But here’s the thing—markets aren’t just numbers; they’re driven by human behavior, and
humans have been reacting to celestial events for centuries. Traders who use astro-trading
don’t claim it’s some magic formula, but rather a different perspective that can complement
traditional analysis. The real question isn’t whether it’s “real” or “fake,” but whether it adds
value to market predictions.
Conclusion
• Astro-trading sits at the intersection of finance, psychology, and astrology—a mix most
people don’t think about. But is it the reality? The receipts are right here. From Mercury’s
ingress to Nifty’s price action, the data shows a strong connection between planetary
movements and market trends.
• No, astrology isn’t some crystal ball that guarantees trades. But if time cycles, planetary
transits, and historical data keep aligning with major market moves, ignoring them might mean
missing out on an extra edge.
• The results speak for themselves. The real flex is refining this knowledge and making it work
even better in a trading strategy. You don’t have to believe in the cosmos—but you can’t ignore
the patterns they reveal.

The only question now is: Are you ready to look at the markets
through different lens?
