Water Game Ideas

Invisible Bottle Hunt (Individual Game)


(Prepare 5 bottle of water with white lids, remove the label)

How to play:

The players will search for a clear water bottle that has been dropped into the pool. To
start, fill a clear plastic bottle with pool water and close the cap tightly. All players turn
away while one person secretly drops the bottle into the pool. When the host say “Go!”,
everyone jumps in and searches for the bottle. The first players to find and grab the 5
will proceed to the next round. For the next round you will eliminate 1 bottles until 1
bottles left and 2 players left. The first player who can find the bottle will win.

Script:

Okay, kids! Our next game is Invisible Bottle Hunt!

I’ll drop clear water bottles into the pool while you all turn around. When I say “Go!”, you
jump in and search for them. The first five players to find a bottle move to the next
round. Each round, there will be fewer bottles until only one is left and two players
remain. The first to find the last bottle wins! Ready? Let’s go!

Water Balloon Toss (Pair Game)


(Ready the Water balloons)

How to Play:

Pair kids up and have them toss a water balloon back and forth. Each time they catch it
successfully, take a step back. The last pair with an unbroken balloon wins.

Script:

Alright kids! For our first game, we will play Water Balloon Toss. I want you to find a
partner first. (When the kids found their partner) Alright I have here a water balloon all
you need to do is to toss the water balloon to your partner, back and forth and if you
catch it successfully without popping it you will step backwards and toss again. The last
pair who didn’t pop their balloons will be our winner. You should wait for my cue to toss
your balloons to your partner and when to step backward okay? Alright! Are you ready
to play?

Wet T-shirt Relay (Group Games)


(Prepare your wet over size T-shirt and a bucket of water(the bucket must be far from
the players))

How to play:

Each team must have 1 wet t-shirt. The first player will wear the wet shirt and run to the
bucket, removes the t-shirt, put and soak the shirt into the water and wear it again. After
completing the task the player will run back to the team and pass the shirt to the next
player. The next player will do it again so on and so forth. The team that gets all players
through the course first, wins the game.

Script:

Alright kids! I need you to group yourself into 2 equal groups. Our next game is, wet t-
shirt relay. Okay, we have 2 wet shirts. Each team must have a shirt. The first player, will
wear the wet shirt then run to the bucket , remove the shirt, put it to the bucket of water
until soaked properly, wear the shirt and run back to the team then past it to the next
player. All the players must do, what the first player did, okay? The team who got all the
players to finish the task first is our winner. Alright? Are you ready to play?

Cuphead Water challenge (Individual or Group Games)


(Prepare cup with band that can be fit in the kids head, bucket without water)

How to play:

The goal of this game is to collect as much water as possible in the cup on your head in 1
minute without removing the cup. Each player will be given a cup that they put on their
head and to use it to collect water from the water source. On the signal all the players
should race to the water source and collect water without removing the cups in their
head, they can dip their head to the water source or use their hands to put water on the
cups but don’t remove them on their head. Once they collected the water they will go
back to their bucket and transfer the water from the cup to the bucket without
removing the cup from their head. Players will then return to the water source to fill the
cup again and repeat the process for 1 minute. The game lasts for 1 minute, and players
must try to collect and transfer as much water as possible into their collection buckets
during that [Link] the minute is up, the player with the most water in their bucket is
declared the winner.

Alright! Our next game is called Cuphead water challenge the goal is to collect as much
water as you can in the cup on your head in one minute! Each of you will get a cup that
you put on your forehead. You’re going to use this cup to collect water, but remember—
you can’t take the cup off your head!When I say “Go,” everyone will run to the water
source. You can either dip your head into the water or use your hands to put water into
the cup, but don’t ever take the cup off your head! After filling your cup with water, run
back to your bucket. Carefully pour the water from your cup into your bucket, still
keeping the cup on your head. Keep running back and forth between the water source
and your bucket, trying to fill your cup as much as possible. You have one minute to do
this! At the end of the minute, the player with the most water in their bucket wins the
game! Are you ready? Let’s see who can collect the most water and win!

Water balloon-Towel Toss (Group game)


(Prepare your towel and water balloons)

How to play:

Work in pairs to toss a water balloon from one pair’s towel to the next without dropping
or popping it. The team that successfully moves the balloon through all pairs and
reaches the finish wins! Split into equal teams, the teams should have 3 or more pairs.
Each pair stands side by side, holding a towel between them. Teams line up in a row,
spaced apart, to create a tossing path. The first pair starts with a water balloon on their
towel. The first pair launches the balloon using their towel toward the next pair. The next
pair must catch the balloon in their towel without letting it drop or pop. The balloon
continues down the line until it reaches the last pair. The first team to get the balloon all
the way to the last pair and back (or to a set finish point) without dropping or popping it
wins! No Hands! Players can only use the towel to toss and catch. If the balloon
drops or pops, that pair must go back to the start and try again Be careful! Tossing too
hard might pop the balloon, but too soft might not reach the next pair.

Alright our next game is called Water balloon-Towel Toss. I need 2 teams with 6-10
members. In this game in each team you should work with a partner to toss a water
balloon using a towel! Teams should line up in pairs, passing the balloon down the line
without dropping or popping it. The first pair starts by tossing the balloon to the next
pair, who must catch and toss it to the next. The balloon continues until it reaches the
last pair, and the last pair will carefully put it onto the bucket using the towel. The first
team to finish without dropping or popping the balloon wins! No hands allowed—only
the towel. If a pair drops or pops the balloon, they go back to the start and try again.
