My Learning Artifacts
Write an essay about your mentor in life? What pieces of advice were
given by your mentor to help you develop your personal and professional
competencies?
During my teaching internship, a warm-hearted, kind,
thoughtful, and engaging instructor has served as my life mentor. She
demonstrated to me throughout this internship that teaching is a job that
society needs. And this let me realize how important devotion and
passion are.
She provided me some really helpful suggestions on how to
become a successful teacher in the classroom. She informs me that in
order to be the center of attention in the classroom, you must constantly
be prepared for your daily teachings. This way, when your pupils have
questions, you will be ready to boldly address them. She also advised
me that good student management and constructive, non-violent
punishment are important aspects of teaching. Finally, she informed me
that worthy pupils who put in a lot of effort even when their marks are
dismal are taken into account.
