DIMENSION TEST SOP

1. Introduction.
This SOP outlines the procedure for conducting a dimension test to
measure and verify the physical dimensions of an object.

2. Scope.
The dimension test is performed to ensure that an object's physical
dimensions conform to specified requirements.

3. Environmental Conditions:
1. Temperature:23±3°C
2. Humidity: less than 85%

4. Apparatus or Machinery/Tools Required.

1. Vernier Calliper
2. Object to be measured
3. Protective gloves (if necessary)
4. Safety glasses (if necessary).

5. Applicable BOM Parts:

All Physically Measurable BOM Parts

6. Procedure.
1. Preparation:
a) Ensure that the vernier calliper is clean and in good working condition.
b) Put on protective gloves and safety glasses if necessary, especially
when handling sharp or potentially hazardous objects.

2. Calibration:
a) Before starting the measurement, check the calibration of the vernier
caliper to ensure its accuracy.
b) Close the caliper jaws and verify that the zero on the scale aligns with
the reference mark.

3. Measurement:
a) Open the jaws of the vernier caliper and place the object to be
measured between them.
b) Gently close the jaws until they make contact with the object's
surface. Ensure that the object is held securely.
c) Read the measurement by aligning the main scale and vernier scale.
The vernier scale should align with a scale division on the main scale.
d) Record the measurement. Ensure that you note any units used (e.g.,
millimeters, inches).

7. Observations & Results.

a. Passing Criteria.
1. Dimensions should match against the Specified Drawings.

8. Conclusion.

If the Object to be measured passing criteriaDimension Test is

passed.
