1. This paper consists of sections, A, B and C with a total of eleven (11) questions.
2. Answer all questions in section A and B, two (2) questions from section C.
3. Section A carries sixteen (16) marks, section B fifty four (54) marks and section C carries
thirty (30) marks.
4. All writings must be in blue or black ink except drawing which must be in pencil.
5. Map extract of SIKONGE (sheet 137/2) will be used.
6. Programmable calculators, communication devices and any unauthorised materials are
not allowed in the examination room.

SECTION A (16 MARKS)

(b) Determine the area at the Eastern side of the Easting 800 in Km2
(c) Mr. Mwenda surveyed the mapped area and observed various activities practised by
people of Sikonge. With evidence, identify three (3) of them
(d) With examples, name two (2) ways used to show height of the land on the mapped area.
4. Carefully study the statistical data given for crop production in tonnes for five years and
answer the questions that follow below;

5. Mr. Wazoleo was directed with TANAPA to investigate on the rapid increase on water weeds
in some rivers inside the park. Before doing actual research, he decided to pass through various

9. ‘In many developing countries, rapid population growth has become a serious problem
which slows dawn plans aimed to improve the standards of living of the existing
population’. With six points justify the statement.
10. Tanzanian government currently is in construction of Standard Gauge Railway (SGR)
from Dar es Salaam to Dodoma and Katavi. As a Tanzanian youth explain six benefits of
such project to the young generation.
11. Human activities have significant contributions to social and economic development but
they are main causative for environmental problems in the world.As a form four student
describe six problems facing our environment.
