Holiday in Malino

I spent my last holiday in Malino, South Sulawesi with my friends. On the first day, I
arrived at Villa at 12.00 after a 4 hour trip with a bus. After I arrived, I decided to take a shower
and rest for a while. Then, I followed a trip with our guide to explore a Malino. On the next
morning, we go to Malino Highlands. We had fun, we also ate good food. On the last day, I went
shopping for some souvenirs. After that, I returned to Makassar. We arrived in Makassar at
19.00. I had a wonderful experience in Malino. It was the best trip of my life.

My Grandpa's Hometown

Three weeks ago, my family and I were in my grandpa's hometown. It is our annual
agenda every holiday at the end of Semester. Unfortunately, it was the rainy season there.
It rained almost every day there. We didn't have enough time to visit some tourist places
there because of the rain. We had not enough sunlight even to dry up our laundry. As a result, we
just stayed at home almost all day long.
Seeing the condition, we decided to make an interesting activity indoors to spend the
holiday together. The activity we chose that day was making funny videos directed by me.
Finishing the videos, we edited them and uploaded them to YouTube.
By doing this, we could kill our boredom of staying at home because of the rain and make
a creative activity instead.

Cooking Fried Rice

Two months ago, a friend of mine gave me a box of fried rice that she made by herself.
I was so amazed by how tasty her fried rice was. It’s encouraged me to learn how to make
delicious fried rice. So, one week later I made one.
After school, I purposefully did not take a nap. Instead, I went to the kitchen and prepared
all the ingredients needed.
However, at that time I did not know how to make it or where to start.
So, I tried to find a recipe on YouTube. The, I found a video of a simple fried rice recipe
that had been watched by over 1 million viewers.
After watching the video once, I followed it according to the steps shown in the video. It
took me approximately 10 minutes of preparation and 30 minutes cooking.
When I finished cooking, I served the fried rice on a large plate. Afterwards, I served it
for the family.
My mother and father said that my fried rice was tasty. But, my brother said that it was
too spicy for him.
Turns out, cooking was an exciting activity. After receiving compliments from my mother
and father, I wanted make delicious food more and more.

Adventure

Once upon a time, in a magical forest nestled deep within the mountains, I embarked on
an extraordinary adventure. It all started when I stumbled upon a hidden, overgrown trail that led
me to a secret clearing where a shimmering portal awaited.
Without hesitation, I stepped through the portal and found myself in a world unlike any
other. The sky was painted in shades of lavender and gold, and the trees had leaves that twinkled
like stars. As I explored this enchanting land, I encountered talking animals, each with its own
unique wisdom to share. The trees whispered secrets, and the river sang melodious songs.
In this fantastical realm, I made friends with a mischievous yet kind-hearted fairy who
guided me on a quest to find a legendary crystal that held the power to heal the land. We faced
challenges, including solving riddles posed by ancient spirits and outsmarting a cunning forest
creature who guarded the crystal.
After many thrilling adventures, we finally located the crystal, which radiated with a
warm, healing light. With the crystal in hand, we returned to the magical clearing and used its
power to restore balance to the forest, bringing back vibrant life to every corner of this wondrous
world.
As I bid farewell to my new friends and stepped back through the portal, I couldn't help
but smile, knowing that the memories of this fantastical adventure would stay with me forever.
Back in the real world, I carried the magic of that imaginative journey in my heart, forever
grateful for the enchanting experience.

A Trip to the National Zoo and Aquarium

Yesterday, my family and I went to the National Zoo and Aquarium to visit the new Snow
Cubs and the other animals. In the morning, when we got to the Zoo and Aquarium there was a
great big line, so we had to wait awhile to get in. After we entered the zoo, we went straight to
the enclosure for the Snow Cubs. My brother and I were so excited to see them. They were so
cute and playful. At lunchtime Dad decided to cook a bbq. He cooked sausages so we could have
sausage sandwiches.
Mum forgot the tomato sauce so we had to eat them plain. In the afternoon, we visited the
aquarium. My brother was excited to see the sharks and the tropical fish. At the end of the day
when we left we were going to go and get ice cream but we decided we were too tired so we
drove straight home.

6.
Fatigue

Last Friday was a tiring day. I spent the whole day doing lot of activities and had no time
to take a rest.
First, I went cycling to school in the morning. Then, I studied until 14.00. After school, I
went to football practice in the field.
It was a hard training day and drained my energy.
After that, I went home and took a shower. Before getting ready to sleep, I remembered
that there were home works and some projects I still had to do.
I did my homework until 22.00 and finished some video editing for my project until
01.00. Only until then, I could take a rest.
Those activities made me exhausted. Perhaps I will reduce my activities in the future.

A Total Solar Eclipse

On November 5th, 2023, a total solar eclipse occurred over several parts of South
America. This rare astronomical event was visible in regions of Chile and Argentina. The eclipse
began at 10:00 AM local time and reached its peak totality at 11:30 AM, lasting for
approximately 2 minutes.
Thousands of people gathered at designated viewing spots to witness this spectacular
natural phenomenon. Scientists and astronomy enthusiasts had been preparing for this event for
months, and they set up telescopes and observation equipment to study the eclipse's effects on the
surrounding environment.
During the eclipse, the moon completely blocked the sun, casting a shadow over the
landscape and causing a noticeable drop in temperature. Birds and wildlife became momentarily
disoriented, and the sudden darkness created a surreal atmosphere.
Observers marveled at the corona, the sun's outer atmosphere, which became visible
during totality. It was an awe-inspiring moment for all those in attendance, and many people
captured the eclipse through photography and video recordings.
 The event concluded as the moon continued its path, gradually revealing the sun.
Scientists collected valuable data, and the general public experienced a rare and memorable
celestial event.
The next total solar eclipse in this region is expected in several years, making this event a
remarkable and scientifically significant occurrence.

Traveling by Train for the First Time

Last year, I was Eighteen years old. I had graduated from my senior high school and I
wanted to continue my education in Yogyakarta. I lived with my family in Cirebon for eighteen
years So, I would live alone there and it was a new experience for me.

I went to Yogyakarta by train. Before I came to the train station, I did not know how to
check-in. All the procedures were so new to me. Fortunately, a security guard helped me and
gave me some directions to check-in. After that I entered the train and sat on the chair.
I listened to the song and I really enjoy when I was on the train. After 5 hours on the train,
I finally arrived in Yogyakarta. I would start my new life in Yogyakarta. I was really excited to
start my new adventure to the new city.

Holiday

Last weekend, my friends and I decided to go on a spontaneous road trip to the beach. We
packed our bags, filled the car with snacks, and set off early in the morning. The weather was
perfect, and we couldn't wait to spend a day by the ocean.
As we arrived at the beach, the sun was shining brightly, and the sound of the waves
crashing against the shore was music to our ears. We laid out our beach towels, applied
sunscreen, and went for a refreshing swim. The water was cool and inviting, and we spent hours
playing in the waves and building sandcastles.
For lunch, we enjoyed a picnic we had brought with us, complete with sandwiches, fruit,
and chips. After eating, we decided to take a long walk along the shoreline, collecting seashells
and taking photos of the beautiful scenery. The day seemed to pass by in the blink of an eye.
As the sun began to set, we gathered around a bonfire on the beach and roasted
marshmallows for s'mores. It was a perfect way to end the day, with the orange and pink hues of
the sunset painting the sky.
Reluctantly, we packed up our belongings and headed back home, tired but incredibly
satisfied with our spontaneous beach adventure. It was a day filled with laughter, fun, and great
memories, and we promised ourselves that we would do it again soon.
