1. What are your biggest expenses in running the cabs?


- Fuel, in petrol. Total 7 vehicles own, and two in lease (CNG -4, Diesel -3, Petrol -2)

2. How much do you spend on fuel daily or weekly?


- Daily Rs. 1600/vehicle approx.

3. Do fuel prices affect your profits a lot? - Yes

4. How often do you need to service the cabs, and how much does it cost?
- For new car as per manufacturer, for old car after 15,000 km. Approx 7000/- average

5. What are the common repair issues, and how expensive are they?
- For new cars, 5 year no repair. Tyre puncture

6. How much do you pay your drivers? Is it per ride or per day?
- 17,000/driver. Total – 8 drivers. Monthly

7. Are there any other workers (like cleaners or mechanics) you pay regularly?
- House keeping for washing the cars – 2 persons/Monthly 8,000 per person

8. Do you have to pay for parking or any permits?


- Yes. For outside trip temporary permit is required

9. Are your cabs owned or rented? If rented, how much do you pay monthly?
- 7 owns, 2 on lease for 3 years. Monthly 30000

10. Have your costs increased recently? If yes, which expenses have gone up the most?
- Operational cost depends on fuel price and if any for unexpected servicing

11. Do you offer any discounts, and does it affect your overall earnings?
- 10% discount for XIM students compared to existing market rates

- For local trip both side of the travel is considered, as per Ola/Uber, 10% discount

7. Do you think the current pricing is profitable?


- Yes

8. Are there times when the demand for cabs is low?


- Mar, April, May, June – Due to high climatic conditions and Summers

9. Do you get more bookings from students, faculty, or others?


- Students

10. Have you thought about offering monthly passes or discounts for regular customers?
- Yes thinking about it, coupon type

- On location basis, WhatsApp LIVE location shared by driver

12. Do the cabs usually return empty after dropping passengers?

- Yes mostly, 40%

13. How do you handle peak-hour demand?

- Peak hour 4:30 – 8:30 basis on schedule and WhatsApp live location

14. Do customers prefer booking in advance or last-minute rides?

- All advance booking, at least 2 hour before

15. What are the biggest challenges in running the cab business?

- Driver is the biggest challenge

16. Do you face competition from other cab services like electric scooty of XIM or Uber or Ola?

- No

17. Have you considered adding more cabs or drivers?

- Yes
