AREA OF TRIANGLE: ANGLE BISECTORS OF A TRIANGLE
The angle bisector of a triangle is the line drawn from one vertex
a) Given the base and altitude
to the opposite side bisecting the included angle between the other
A = ½ bh two sides. The angle bisectors of a triangle intersect at a point
called the incenter of the triangle.
b) Given two sides and included angle
A = ½ ab sin C = ½ bc sin A = ½ ac sin B
c) Given three sides (Heron’s Formula)

MEDIANS OF A TRIANGLE 2
bc = √abs(s − c)
The median of a triangle is the line drawn from one vertex to the a+b
midpoint of its opposite side. The medians of a triangle intersect
at a common point called the centroid of the triangle.

The altitude of a triangle is the line drawn from one vertex 2
perpendicular to its opposite side. The altitudes of a triangle
intersect at a point called the orthocenter of the triangle.
