This is an individual assignment.
The submission format is in the form of an E-report. Please refer the Student handbook (Vietnamese
version, Appendix 2) for the Assignment submission rules.
The file on Turnitin must be in Word format and include the first page of this cover sheet. The first
page of the cover sheet should be in the picture format in order to ensure the accepted similarity of
Turnitin.
The similarity allowed is up to 25% after excluding references.

Assignment activity and guidance

In today’s globally competitive business environment trade disputes, political uncertainty, economic
crises can all determine where companies operate. Corporations have to decide where to invest.
Currently many companies are making strategic decisions on their investments in China and elsewhere
and whether to continue to invest there, move to other locations or, if possible, return to their respective
country. In this regard, Vietnam has become an attractive investment destination for many Multinational
Corporations (MNCs) with favorable government policies, numerous free trade agreements, a strategic
geographical location, and an young educated workforce.

Your assignment is to use the company in Assignment A1.1 and write about the two tasks below:

1. Write a report to evaluate how operating in a global market influences your company’s
organizational structure, culture, and functions.

You are required to use the McKinsey 7S model of organizational structure to help you to
analyze and evaluate the influences.
