RELATIONSHIP MANAGER – MIGORI BRANCH
Reports to: Regional Manager
The holder of the position will focus on and deliver the following key responsibilities:
• Take the leadership role at the Branch and mentor the Branch staff toward achieving the organization’s
Mission, Vision, and Strategic Objectives.
• Ensure the Branch attains the set targets in the following parameters; High standards of Customer Service,
Customer Retention, Service impact, quality Loan Portfolio.
• Develop and maintain critical relationships at the Branch to enhance business Development
• Ensure staff productivity is maintained through support, mentorship, and efficient TAT for customer queries.
• Working closely with risk and compliance units to ensure effective controls to mitigate against business risks
associated with Business
• Ensure compliance with both internal and external regulatory requirements
• Implements policies, procedures, and internal controls at the branch
• Planning the Branch staffing and Evaluating existing staff in accordance with management
decision/directions.
• Ensures that the branch staff maintains very high morale and identifies capacity building / training needs.
• Undertakes periodic performance appraisals and staff development plans.
• Develops the branch business plan and annual work plans and submits the plan for further deliberations at
the wider Operations team.
• Proposes adjustments to the branch business plan as and when needed
• Requests and submits daily performance and financial reports
• Attends monthly branch managers meetings, engages in team problem-solving, and works together on
overlapping tasks.
• Communicate to staff on organizational changes.
• Plans and initiates promotional measures within the target markets of the branch
• Implements customer-centric approaches at the branch.
• Initiate and action market research and survey activities
• Chairs the Branch Credit Committee (BCC) and participates in evaluating, approving, or rejecting loans
according to the policies and regulations of VisionFund Kenya MFI
• Coordinates on growth areas and projections for disbursements
• Plans and controls the liquidity of the branch repayment of loans
• Ensures that the targets agreed with the management are reached
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate MUST possess a University Degree/Diploma in Economics/Accounting/
Business Administration/Management/Banking/Marketing/ Cooperative/Agricultural Economics/Agriculture or related
social sciences and business fields. Candidate should be ready to comply and live up to and in accordance with the
organization’s Ideals and Core Values.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position in a Microfinance Institution.
• Determined personality with initiative, perseverance, and the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Capability and willingness to take responsibility and highly developed sense of rectitude.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to plan and manage finances, including a basic understanding of accounting.
• Be a good trainer, facilitator, mentor, and coach.
• Very good communication and marketing skills.
