1) INTRODUCTION:-
According to Edwin B. Flippo, “Recruitment is the process of searching the
candidates for employment and stimulating them to apply for jobs in the
organisation”. Recruitment is the activity that links the employers and the job seekers.
A few definitions of recruitment are:
1. Process of finding and attracting capable applicants for employment. The
process begins when new recruits are sought and ends when their applications
are submitted. The result is a pool of applications from which new employees
are selected.
2. It is the process to discover sources of manpower to meet the requirement of
staffing schedule and to employ effective measures for attracting that
manpower in adequate numbers to facilitate effective selection of an efficient
working force.
Importance of Recruitment
Recruitment of candidates is the function preceding the selection, which helps create a
pool of prospective employees for the organisation so that the management can select
the right candidate for the right job from this pool. The main objective of the
recruitment process is to expedite the selection process.
Recruitment is a continuous process whereby the firm attempts to develop a pool of
qualified applicants for the future human resources needs even though specific
vacancies do not exist. Usually, the recruitment process starts when a manger initiates
an employee requisition for a specific vacancy or an anticipated vacancy.
Recruitment is the important stage in the human research management process.
Mall located in Bapat Nagar, The multiplex having Multiplex Cinema Halls with. The
location of mall is precious. The people from near by places comes to visit it for
purchasing and viewing cinemas inbig screen with dolby digital sound system. These
are some of the advantages of the Mall. There are number of employees working in this
mall. Number of
1
employees are working here and number of new recruited staff is here. - As there is
importance of recruitment in any organizations, for the said reasons the said study is
taken into consideration.
2) OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY:-
The research seeks to determine:
The objectives of the study may be stated as under-
a) To study the recruitment process followed by Mall.
b) To study the various facilities provided by Mall to their employees.
c) To study the training process followed by Mall to their employees.
d) To study the satisfaction of the employees in the Mall.
e) To provide guidelines for improving the recruitment process in Mall.
3) HYPOTHESIS: -
For every research hypothesis work as a light house and guides the researcher
throughout the whole research work until its completion.
The hypothesis of the said study is that,
“The recruitment process followed by Mall is better than other similar organizations.”
4) IMPORTANCE OF STUDY:-
There are number of organizations in the city where number of employees are
working and they have their own recruitment process. The main reason of the said
study is that to know whether the recruitment process followed by the said unit is
better compare to other similar organization or not, which kind of changes need to do,
to recruit the better staff.
2
Area and Period of the study :-
The area of study will be Amravati city and the period of the said study will be taken
to be last 1 year (i.e. 2020-21) .
5) RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:-
a) Research Method :-
Research designs are concerned with turning the research question into a testing
project. The best design depends on your research questions. Every design has its
positive and negative sides.Research design can be divided into fixed and flexible
research designs (Robson, 1993). Others have referred to this distinction with
‘quantitative research designs’ and ‘qualitative research designs’. However, fixed
designs need not be quantitative, and flexible design need not be qualitative. In fixed
designs the design of the study is fixed before the main stage of data collection takes
place. Fixed designs are normally theory-driven; otherwise it’s impossible to know in
advance which variables need to be controlled and measured. Often these variables
are quantitative. Flexible designs allow for more freedom during the data collection.
One reason for using a flexible research design can be that the variable of interest is
not quantitatively measurable, such as culture. In other cases, theory might not be
available before one starts the research.
b) Sample Technique :-
For the said study the stratified random sampling method will be used.
b) Data Collection:-
The research candidate’s first of all identifies the sources from which the different
items of information are obtainable and select those in used and collect information,
which is from primary and secondary sources.
c) Primary data :-
Primary data are those, which are collected for the first time, and they are original in
character. The researcher, to study the particular problem, collects the Primary data.
Different methods used by researcher for gathering primary data are as follows:
3
A. Survey Method.
B. Observation Method
For the said study the questionnaire is circulated among the respondents
(Employees, managerial staff, customers, etc.)
d) Secondary data :-
Secondary data are those, which are already collected by someone for same purpose
and are available for reference.
Researcher usually starts their investigation by examining secondary data, to see
whether their problem can be partly or wholly solved. Secondary data provides a
starting point for research and offer the advantage of lower cost and quicker
availability.
The researcher is much more benefited by availability of Secondary information and
save much time. The secondary data consist of (1) Textbook, (2) Reference book, (3)
Reports,
(4) Magazines, (5) Generals, (7) News Papers, (8) Literature were used.
For the said study the data will be collected through internet, e-books, etc.
e) Sample Selection :-
Sample size will be taken as 100. The prepared questionnaire is circulated among
these people and data collected accordingly.
f) Analysis of data:-
After successfully collection of data, tabulation of data will be done and
inferences will be drawn accordingly.

6) LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY:-
a) The said project is related to Chandrapur city jurisdiction only.
b) Study of Chandrapur city will be taken for the said study and period of last 1 year
(i.e.2020-21) taken into consideration.
c) the research will be useful to Mall and similar business organizations.
