AUTO BLACK BALANCE Shooting → Perform at start of day once camera
(ABB) Auto Black Balance → has reached operating temperature.
AUTO PIXEL RESTORATION Technical → Perform at start of day once camera
(APR) APR → has reached operating temperature.
APR Execute
These functions can help ensure a clean, consistent image.
ABB - Normalize black levels and reduce fixed pattern noise. Fairly good at fixing hot pixels.
APR - Eliminate hot pixels by completely mapping them out.
If ABB fails to correct a hot pixel, APR may help. If offending pixels are still present after APR, camera should be sent to Sony for
manual RPN correction.
