PASSIVE VOICE
In English, the passive voice is a grammatical construction where the focus is on the recipient
of the action, rather than the performer. The subject of the sentence receives the action.

The “by” phrase:


1. If the "by" phrase gives essential information (who did it, when, or how), it should
stay.
2. If the sentence is already clear and complete without it, the "by" phrase is not
necessary.
Objects, handicrafts, and materials.

Painting Palette: A board on which an artist mixes colors.


Brushstroke: The mark made by a brush when painting.
Jewelry Gemstone: A precious or semi-precious stone used in jewelry.
Necklace: A piece of jewelry worn around the neck.
Earring: A decorative item worn on the earlobe.
Pottery Clay: A natural material used to make pottery.
Glaze: A glass-like coating applied to pottery for decoration and durability.
Fashion Runway: A platform where models walk to showcase fashion designs.
Textile: A type of fabric used in clothing and other items.
Photography Lens: A glass element in a camera that focuses light.
Exposure: The amount of light allowed to hit the camera sensor.
Composition: The arrangement of elements within a photograph.
Glass Art Stained Glass: Colored glass used to create decorative windows.
Blown Glass: Glass formed by blowing air into molten glass to shape it.
Metalwork Silver: A precious metal often used in jewelry and decorative items.
Gold: A highly valued yellow metal used in jewelry and coins.
Bronze: An alloy made of copper and tin, used for sculptures and tools.
Stone Carving Marble: A type of stone often used for sculptures and buildings.
Relief: A sculptural technique where the design stands out from the
background.
